Hodge is the superior player in every way.

Hodge is the superior player in every way.

lol. Hardly. What's with all these Hawthorn supporters trying to talk up their players by comparing them to the Blues talent? Interesting. What I do know is:

Hawks minus Franklin = 9th

:)

Not going to vote, think it just a tad unfair

In reality you would have to take Hodge.

Its simple he's bigger, stronger and has the runs on the board.

But...

Happy with Murph and i think he will be a genuine star.

Fixed
Carlton without Judd=Well you can't really get much lower.......

Yet another ridiculas poll about Hawthorn players. I am starting to hope that Hawks loose against Richmond now (God forgive me) just to say the reaction from the Hawks supporters and so Hawks fans stop these stupid threads

Hodge easily.

Hmmm , comparing your best midfielder to Murph who has played a lot less football and still has a lot more improvement left is just wrong:thumbsd:
It would be the same as comparing Judd to Lewis:rolleyes: ( I wonder who wins that one )
Maybe Dorks supporters are still coming to terms that Judd was and still is better than Hodge and are forever trying to justify Hodge being taken at pick one:o

A player drafted in 2001 against a player drafted in 2005. For this comparison to have any credibility you would have to compare Hodge of 2004 to Murphy of 2008, otherwise it is about as handy as a poll comparing Lachlan Hansen to Jonathan Brown, or Will Thursfield to Matty Scarlett.

And Hodge of 2004 wasn't an arsehole of what Murphy is this year (admittedly through having heaps of injury problems) ;)

Blues minus Murphy = 11th, no difference to the team ;).

Before this really goes downhill, let's all just read and this all to correct post and end the thread.

Hodge, Murphy is purely a midfielder whilst hodge is far more versatile and can play almost anywhere.

If Hawthorn offered Hodge for Murphy you can bet that they wouldn't think of trading Murphy, that's how highly we rate him. He will be a champion for us, Hodge is also very good, but Murphy will become better. Only Carlton haters or Hawthorn supporters will be voting Hodge.

Judd Vs Hodge is a better poll considering they are drafted from the same year, but we know that's been done to death.

I think Hawthorn supporters overrate Hodge.

Poor comparison. It is better than the Matthews v Hodge comparison thread though :o

Hodge v Gibbs or Murphy v Lewis would be a fairer comparison if the players were the same age.
