Ok just for general amusement as some know and some don't I now live in Shanghai at the moment.
Today is not ANZAC day for me unfortunately *wipes tear away from face*.
But none the less in true Aussie tradition I'm going to bloody well treat it like Anzac day :-)

I've faked some reports that say I have to be elsewhere after lunch and I'm buggering off back home for the rest of the day to watch the mighty pies!
Completely with my collingwood scarf and jumper despite the fact its like 25c today. Although I'll have to watch the game in the safety of my own house for if I go to a pub or something nobody is going to understand.....will just think i'm crazy.

Expats show your support by telling your boss its ANZAC day and you're going home :-P or invent lies like I did....

Great sentiments and you got the result regarding the Pies.

Just for the record...I can't see why you just don't tell your boss it is ANZAC Day which requires observance just like Ramadan or any other Nationally observed day. It is after all our most important day even edging out Australia day for mine...if not for the ANZAC's in all theatres and wars it could well not be Australia.
