Could've been more than 100 points...efficiency inside 50 still a worry, as Mick said pre-game. It just shows, we continue to get it in there, so imagine when all the pieces are solved.

We also belted Port by 70+ points in the 1st half of 2006, at the TD I think.

I was all excited about that game, we needed a big win to boost our % to get into 5th spot, that way we could avoid the Eagles in week two of the finals.

In the end the eagles lost, and so did we.
ugh.

Eagles by recollection knocked the doggies out that year in the Semi final after the Dogs knocked us off in the elimination final!

Yeah they did.
I was hoping that we would finish 5th, and beat the Doggies in week one, and that the Eagles would beat the Swans and then we would play the Swans in week 2, and not the Eagles.

Not that it matters now anyway.

A long time ago.

We're backThere were four times that Collingwood won by more than ten goals in 2006, and I don't know if this win means "we're back" because that season ended disappointingly. It's going to take more than one win such as last night to get a true idea. Next week should be a great guide!...

Collingwood: 3.3, 9.5, 16.12, 23.15 (153)

Round 6: Sunday, 7th May 2006 (MCG)
Carlton: 1.4, 5.9, 6.11, 9.12 (66)
Collingwood: 2.5, 5.7, 12.9, 21.12 (138)

Round 8: Saturday Night, 20th May 2006 (MCG)
Collingwood: 6.0, 12.3, 18.10, 22.14 (146)

I'm hoping that yesterday could have been a bit of a turning point to be honest. We were playing pretty poorly in the first quarter and a bit I thought and were in cruise mode however all of a sudden you could see the confidence, running and overall work rate lift in everyone. Very pleasing and I would hope that the boys can take that confidence into the rest of the season. The only thing missing now is that hard hitting tackling that we had in that prelim against Geelong. If we can get that part of the game going again then we will worry the competition.

Well done Collingwood!

Another 16 games to go people..... plus finals. Yesterday was great, awesome in fact lifting the foot up to give em hope then crushing the scum again and again.

But it's a long season and one good win in April against a bottom 4 team does not a premiership make

But give it to your scum supporting mates for as long and hard as you can.

A 10 goal victory over the Hawks would please me a great deal more.

2 years ago if you told me we would win by 12 goals without Buckley, Rocca, Clement, Presti, Burns and Licuria I would have said you were mad...things definitely looking good for the future.
