Fans voted and the Comedy Channel did a countdown of the top 7 episodes.
#7 - "Starvin' Marvin"
#6 - "Return of Chef"
#5 - "Weight Gain 4000"
#4 - "Cartman's Mom is a Dirty Sl*t"
#3 - "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe"
#2 - "Make Love, Not Warcraft"
#1 - "Trapped in the Closet"
Thoughts?
IMO "Trapped in the Closet" is too high, I'd have "Make Love, Not Warcraft" above it.
Personally, I feel "Scott Tenorman Must Die", "Tsst", "A Ladder to Heaven", "The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers", "You Just got F***ed in the Ass" and "Good Times With Weapons" all could've been in it.

Warcraft one should be #1. Trapped In The Closet only made it because of the controversy it caused.

Yeah, Warcraft number 1... Scott Tenorman up there... not a big fan of 4000 or Anal Probe... overdone now
They did it once before, I remember the top 4 was

Anal Probe and Weight Gain 4000? Why?
I must be one of the only ones who didn't actually find Trapped In The Closet very funny, I didn't even get much of the hype, it was just an average ep for me.
The Warcraft episode is well and away the best there is, Randy's overeactions, The kids getting fat, Cartman shitting into the bedpan which his mum is holding, so many classic moments.
And to some of the other posts, the newer episodes might not have been able to get in as they have to air on Free To Air before Foxtel.
Hadn't seen the Wow episode.

I believe that is Matt Stone and Trey Parkers magnum opus. It was funny and one of the most truthful things I have heard.

Clearly too many people voted who never watch South Park. Personally, I voted for Marjorine but there are so many that I love just as much. The only reason I voted was to win the prize.
Half of season 11 should have been in the top 7.

I was annoyed that the episode where Cartman makes the christian rockband faith +1 wasnt in it, classic episode lol.
Not happy that some of season 1 was in the top 6, seen them so many damn times don't even know why people would vote for them.

To be honest I never really enjoyed the storyline of the Trapped In The Closet episode.
I reckon the Warcraft episode should be number 1 and the Scott Tenorman Must Die episode should be up there. Good Times With Weapons, Lord Of The Rings and The Losing Edge should also be up there in my opinion.
Weight Gain 4000 seems an odd choice for the top 5.

I hear the producers of the simpsons and king of the hill praised South Park for the ep.
I don't really like the Scott Tenorman episode too much.
I love Family Guy but the Cartoon Wars episodes are two of my favorites as well.

Imaginationland Part 2 has to be in there, if not the whole series. Casa Bonita is as good as any Cartman episode as well.
I think we all agree on one episode.

I really fail to see why the WoW episode is considered so high. It was moderately amusing at best. Good Times With Weapons and Fat Butt and Pancake Head are their best, IMO, followed by Seasons 5-9 as a whole; most of the new stuff is lame with the occassional funny part, exceptions being ManBearPig and Miss Teacher Bangs A Boy.

Agree. It is a great episode, but there are many better. I don't think it has a great deal of replay value either.
Douche and ____ and Goobacks episodes are two more I would but in my top ten. Two perfect examples of hilarious social commentry.

good times with weapons is the best ep by a mile in my book, followed by towelie, scott tenorman and the fingerbang ep (love randy in the ghetto avenue boys!)

"Scott Tenorman Must Die" always gets this for me.
It's the turning point in the Cartman character. Before that episode he was the whiny dumb little fat kid with a high pitched voice. After that episode he become the sadistic sociopath we all know and love.

See...I didn't find that funny. At all. I have almost the exact opposite view: MLNW was a good concept and the Machinima was cute, but it suffered a severe lack of quotable lines because the analogy thing wasn't funny. *shrug* Personal taste I guess.

Yeah totally depends on who you are... Do you have much experience with gamers of the like? I found a lot of stuff funny in MLNW because I could see traits seen in my friends, who are totally crazy on MMOs :p

Yeah, and I guess that's why I didn't find it funny. The whole post-modern gamer thing is done so much better by people who are actually in it, as any one of the 1,000,000,000,000+ gamer web comics out there will show. MLNW reminded me too much of the Doonesbury strips of the '90s, with Baby Boomers trying to get a handle on the whole movement.
I dunno, it just didn't do anything for me.

Atrocious that Scott Tenorman Must Die was nowhere near the top. That final scene is prob the best in the show's history.
The bit in Make Love Not Warcraft where Randy is told that Stan's character might die, then there's a pause and he's like "...ohmy god." I choked on my beer when I heard that. Hadn't seen the ep in such a long time. Class.

Finally watched "Licecapades" yesterday, bloody brilliant.

'Roger Ebert should lay off the fatty foods' will always hold a special place in my heart only for Cartmans cameo at the end of the cheesey poofs commercial and barbradys elvis impersonation...now that i think of it half of my favourite south park quotes are barbradys.

The Cartman the Psychic one's on now. Fantastic!
Have recently seen the ones where Cartman freezes himself so he doesn't have to wait for the Nintendo Wii and wakes up 500 years in the future. Absolute gold, with a great ending.:thumbsu:
