Coming along very nicely.
Played a good game and was a consistent 4 quarter performer.
He is tall, finds the ball and has pace. Good find.

Agreed, was really impressed with his game tonight - but I thought all of the young ones stood up, this was Geelong they were playing and they took it right up to them - well done to all the youngsters :thumbsu:

He certainly is.
But Freo don't have any good young talent apparently. Our young guys are just as good any in the comp. The future for Freo is pretty bright.

Fantastic to run down Ablett and wasnt rewarded with holding the ball.Typical call to a brown nose squealer like Ablett and that dive to get Josh reported ,low low act

He wasn't that bad, first game I think and there certainly isn't much of him. Persevere I say

KS, agree on both Ibbo and Hinkley.
Hinkley isn't ready. Ibbo is class.

Agree, Ibbo looks calm under pressure. Like to see him keep his spot in the team

27 Possies. 25 of which were effective, a goal and some very important touches.
Will be tough to beat for this weeks Rising star.

How calm is he?
The way he raises the arms to get the hands free is very, very good.
Bit more meat on him and he'll be able to do what he did tonight most weeks. Very good sort.
Ibbotson was fantastic, regretting not getting him for my DT this week.

yeah his composure is excellent
i always thought of him as a outside player but on tonights performance he has showed that he has the skill and temperemant to work on the inside too

To run down G.Ablett shows alot. Think he got the best of Kelly who had received the last 6 brownlow votes when these to teams play off.

Could Ibbotson play as a Leading foward or would you like to keep him on a wing.
Reminds of Hill from the Doggies.

Like I said - I know what kind of poster you are and what you've typed about my side previous...
You tryed to troll us a few weeks ago on this board
Now you've fallen back to your OP as a defense but really you've forgotten about that and tryed to overpower me on my home turf..
I was mistaken, Your a first class amateur.. :)

Someone comments on how good one of your youngsters is, you respond by whinging like 8yr olds about Gary Ablett, then whinge some more when your called out on it. Poor form.
Ibbotson was fantastic, regretting not getting him for my DT this week.
Hey NF, what do you call this?
Supportive posting.

Mate I've tried to get on with it asking whether Ibbo could play as a leading foward and he's still hanging on like a bad smell.
Pull him in line.
Could he play in a role similar to Josh Hill?

Don't see why we would want to as our weakness is in the midfield and Ibbo looks like he has what we are lacking in there.... height, agility, pace and foot skills! and can win his own ball!

Its only a weakness when you dont make the most of Sandilands dominance. A team second to the ball always looks slow.
In regards to the Josh Hill roll, he could start on a wing, find the pill and if he picks up a tag, take his man foward and use his pace whilst providing a target.
Havent seen him take too many marks?

Ibbo as a foward?

I'm with Nightfury on this one. If a troll wants to pretend he's a good guy in an attempt to gain some nice guy points he should be pointed out for the hypocrite he is.
Ibbo played better than I thought he was capable of. Nice job in letting him develop in the WAFL first as an undersized and younger draftee. Kudos to the management of our younger players.
Hinkley needs another season to build himself up but there are three guys in Brock, Josh Head and Foster who are the right stage to start getting games.

Yep, I agree with tony, Hinkley is where Ibbo was a year ago physically, (although with much better wafl form ), he's had a taste, now let him develop in the wafl.
