Would Melbourne swap

Chad Cornes and D Pearce

for the number 1 pick and a player like Bruce or Green or Sylvia or Miller?

It sounds like this draft is going to be very exciting, so if Melbourne do get the number 1 pick, I'm pretty sure they would be keen to hang on to it.

No-one trades a No.1 pick

So no point even asking about it.

Unless, of course, you are Fremantle...

IF we still land the No. 1 pick in the draft then there is no way we will be trading it. Naita will be a Demon if we get the No. 1 pick.

#1 pick > old man Cornes and Pearce

Daniel Rich > 'Naita'

Footballer > Athlete

Its not like 'Naita' is some superfreak athlete dominating a game hes played from birth yet doesnt take alot of marks and has suspect kicking.

He's a superfreak athlete dominating games thats only just STARTED to learn the game, he could be anything.

Im on the Naita train. :thumbsu:

This footballer v. athlete debate will never be resolved, simply because there is no definitive answer, and there never will be.

The only valid reason for picking up an elite player or players from another club is when your a top 2 - 4 side and a good chance in playing a grand final

otherwise there is no point

Hawthorns selection of Stewie Dew IMO was a masterstroke by Clarkson and just might make the difference at seasons end

We would have to give them some cash incentives to take him off our hands! ;)
