View Full Version : Mundy spending a fair bit of time on the ball
Really just wanted to highlight the fact he's spending more and more time on the ball. He looks more desperate in the thick of the action then out on a wing.
He's got very clean hands, he's physically still a bit weak but will probably develop strength through the core over the next few years which will make him difficult to tackle.
Great move i think. And Kudos to playing reasonably well in that position.
He's still heel running though...

He showed his class last night. He can match it with the class players in the AFL based on last nights performance - i think having him play on the ball helps him, becoz its not all about pace in congested situations, it's about poise and skill execution which Mundy has in spades. He'll always be a little bit weak in contests but that's the trade off.
Much improved IMO :thumbsu:
He still needs to Harden Up.

He seems to have been given a job in the last two weeks and he's stuck to it pretty well. Just needs to realise that he needs to work hard the whole game - he's had it too easy playing the loose man role the last couple of years. His disposal has always been his strength - we need him getting his hands on the ball and delivering it to the forwards.
NF,
When we got done over by Richmond I got an SMS from a WC mate saying, "I bet that hurt". I responded by saying, "not as much as Stakers jaw". His response was interesting to say the least. He said BBB did them a favor because he hoped it would make Staker HTFU. This is the way I feel about Mundy. He is great running forward but he frustrates the shit out of me with his one pace and skirting the packs. The David Mundy of 2007/8 is not a patch on the kid that came through in 2006. Yes he is getting posessions but he should be a lot more aggressive than he is. Imagine what he would be like if he had Dodds mongrel? Nothing would stop him.

absolutely pulled the handbrake in the pocket in the 4th quarter. he was running towards Chapman on the lead, and he could have absolutely ironed out Chapman but he pulled the handbrake to ensure he wouldn't get hurt.
still gutless, though i thought he had a reasonable game nonetheless.
