When he is rucking on some occassions he spreads his arms out deliberately and hits players in the neck / head and the umps let him get away with it as they are thinking he is going to jump or he doesnt mean to do it .
Given he is taller than all players his arms connect the opposition players illegally

OR are you allowed to do it .I am not a ruckman .

A lot of the normal rules don't seem to apply in ruck contests - they are often ugly with pushing, shoving and players simply jumping into their opponent with no intent for the ball - you wouldn't get away with it anywhere else on the ground.

I'd need to watch the replay to see what you are talking about, but I think Sandi misses out on enough kicks he should get for having guys run into him for it to even out if he whacks a few with stray arms.

even if they called the occasional one on him, i don't think it happens that often, what is a joke though is that with the chopping of the arms not allowed he doesn't get free kicks when people try and spoil the ball from him.

There is no way they are hitting the ball!

Exactly.

I saw a guy tackle Sandi in a marking contest on two occassions. The opponent had no chance of reaching the ball so he tackle him around the middle and the umpire called play on.

Fair game I say if Sandi whacks a few blocks accidentally in return.

And also if Sandi goes to lay a tackle himself, because of his height he almost always gets called for a high tackle. He has been getting a bum deal most of the time really.

I don't often post on another board, but I would like to say what a great match it was last night, and you SHOULD have won it, you deserved too, you played better on the night.. However, I thought that Sandilands was THE best on ground. It is certainly the best I have seen him play..
Did he get any BOG's ? He was a stand out, he was everywhere, and I think he played all the match too..Well done Sandilands, you cop a lot from the commentators, but you were BOG last night, in my reckoning:thumbsu:

I think everyone other than that absolute ____ing waste of space Ken "i don't know how the ____ to coach" Judge knew that Sandilands was best on ground by a mile.

Oh and Sandilands was getting climbed over all match, but he was also pushing his opponent in the back every second contest.
