Hot towel and pop it!

I had one ages ago and I used ice (hardened water!) but when I told a mate he swore I should have used a hot towel, bring down swelling and softens the skin.

Goods luck Swanny... just to make you feel better Dane had a massive zit on his chin yesterday too!

lol cheers mate makes me feel a whole lot more comfortable lol,
i'll try the hot the towel because at the moment it freakin canes when i shut my eye or even blink so its fairly annoying!

Dont pop it or you can get a nasty infection. An old wives tale (in-line with what smoky said) is to put a warm to hot (your discomfort level) tea bag on it. It will work wonders but take an hour or so.

There are creams available at the pharmacy for that. The better one is by prescription only though, or so I was told the last time I had a sty on my eye. :(

I know this will sound really weird but it always works for me..... Get a silver wedding ring and rub the edge of it firmly along the sty three times. My girlfriends mum told me about it and I scoffed as you probably are but the next day it was gone.....

wicksy not so. After all you can get those bars of aluminimun "soap" you rub on your face after cutting yourself shaving and it stops the bleeding almost straight away... but you have to rub it 5 times

warm damp towel is the way to go. do it as many times in the day as u can be bothered.

and dont touch it. if you do make sure u wash your hands afterwards. they're very infectuous and if ur not careful ull just end up getting another one, or spreading it to someone else.

also a good idea to take echinacea or something that boosts ur immune system.

go to the chemist and buy some Naphcon Forte

its a S3 medication so you dont need a prescription, and should be less than 15 bucks

using a warm compress will help a little as mentioned above

It will subside. Just relax and rub it as often as possible :)

I'm glad it's feeling a little better swanny!
just a quick note- golden eye ointment can be put directly on your eyeball, so don't worry about 'getting it in your eye'.
it works wonders, seriously
