First up i want to say that Hardwicke was the bloke that i prefered as coach so this is not a shot at his coaching ability but i am sick of hearing the rumour mill crap that is now somehow becoming fact in some peoples minds about why they chose Knights over Hardwicke. Only those who where in the interview process know what really happened but from what i have been told (and the info i have got from this person has always been very good) things are just a little bit different to what those in the media/rumour mungers have to say. You can make of this what you will ....
Hardwicke was very honest with where he thought our list was at. His plan included looking to trade a number of players and the names Lloyd,Lucas and Fletcher where on that list.
Knights overall plan was much further advanced than the one Hardwicke presented and included an evaluation of how the alignment with Bendigo was working and major changes that needed to be made there. His planing and support for the indiginous players was also much further advanced than Hardwicke's.
Knights reviews on the players was also much more in depth(as you would expect given he coached a lot of them).
Knights did not simply get the job becasue he guaranteed he would make the finals this year. He was actually quoted not long after he got the job as saying if we get our bestt 22 on the field and some of the young blokes improve we are capeable of playing finals but these is a big chance of some real ups and downs this year.
Some people seem to be suffering from really short memories. Maybe they need to take a look back through the archives and see what the coach had to say in public before going on with the crap that Knights said we would play finals this year and guarnteed it

Well that you can do.
History says that every club will stiff up at least 30% of players signed. So far i think we have Dyson and Slattery in the sutff up list.

yeah i am sick of having to repeat my self as well. unfortunately it is mostly from opposition supporters who dont have an idea. and when you tell them how they are wrong they of course do not even contemplate it.

unfortunately ant i think this made up BS theory will be here to stay

Agreed, and I am more than prepared to give him a go. I'll give him 3 years as our list is in a poor shape and it will take 3-4 years to contend for a flag. But if Dyson is resigned AGAIN..Knights can kiss my support goodbye
