Was sitting on the flank on the weekend, and got to see birch run past a lot, and jeezus! does this guy look like the great Michael Tuck or what? The poor lanky posture in his running, the bent knee in his kicking. I have only seen highlights of Tuck, but damn!
If someone could post a pic of Birch and then one of tuck, i would be greatful

He gets Tucklike possessions too for 193cm
He's on track for a Tuck-like games tally as well. Touchwood, I think he has only missed a couple of games in his career?

I wouldn't compare him with Tuck just yet, Michael was ahead of his time in the way he played, but he certainly plays a similar style and he never coughs it up.

Ive heard some compare his rounded shoulders to Alan Martello. Unfortunately, before my recollection.

I am noticing when i look back on old hawk games that birchall usually is the man who sits outside our attacking 50 and marks any desperate kicks out of our 50 by the opposition defence, does it all the time.

It's probably not doing his back any good!
