Hey Guys and Girls,

I'm Hilly and I've been given the mod duties for this board.

Guidelines
* Obviously it gets a bit hairy when we talk about footy, but lets keep things on topic. People don't want to read slanging matches between two posters and personal jibes just put off potential input from new posters.

* General chit chat between posters should be kept to PM or MSN please

* Posting rumors is ok, as long as its football related ie: Player X is moving to Club Y next year.

But refrain from posting Player Y is shagging player X's wife etc

* If there is anything that breaks the forum rules, I'll edit your posts and send you a PM just outlining the reasons.

Feel free to argue your point with me, just don't get personal. It adds nothing to the argument.

* If you feel you are being harassed by certain posters, or have any issues at all, please PM me. If I can't sort them out then I will pass them on to someone who can!

* When you get a chance read this thread: Big Footy Ten Commandments. (http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_forum_rules)

* Have fun discussing CDFL footy!

* Any other questions please post here and I will answer them!

Just a reminder that we don't want to see cheap shots at player/posters on the board.

For example:
"Player X is soft." is a rubbish post

It is a much better argument if you justify your comments and that will more than likely encourage conversation.

For example:
In my opinion Player X does not get the hard ball himself, when i have seen him play he seems to wait for the ball to be fed out to him, last week against Team A he could have crashed a pack but waited for the opposition to pick up the ball before he laid the tackle. would encourage someone to reply with an example of the opposite.

If that is your opinion, well so be it.

That is basically why people do not post on this board, because rather than attack the post the majority prefer to attack the poster.

Get some intelligent discussion going as this board is going nowhere.

Note that if you have an issue with what someone is posting, PM me or report it, either way I will get visibility when I sign in.

Do not post a response in the thread, all it is likely to do is get another response from the person who has caused the problem in the first place

I am generally only on line late in the night so I may not see the problem post straight away, but I do work my way through all threads on this board and I will eventually see it and take care of it.

Cheers....

Just a quick note to say that I have decided to take the hard line on some of the rubbish posted on here, and from now on will work on a one warning policy, before passing the offending post onto the big boys who hand out the bans.

Put simply, if you want to share your opinions on Big Footy, think about what you post before you post it. Difference of opinion is fine, abuse and childish comments are not.
