easiest way is to go to www.google.com
type in artist song and the word 'lyrics'
(milli vanilli dont forget my number lyrics)
there usually is a sh*tload of sites that could help ya..

Try Google Groups: http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search?hl=en
In the Newsgroup box type: alt.music.lyrics
Enter some partial lyrics in the find all of the words box to ID a song or type the song title in the with the exact phrase box.
Then enter.
Usenet made easy. :)

I am guilty of singing Smashing Pumpkins' "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" as "despite all my rage I am still just ready to play!" before my sister bagged me and told me the real words, probably payback from when she used to sing Bon Jovi's "Bad Medicine" as "I was born a Christian but your kiss is the trouble!"
