The thing that gets me about this bloke is that throughout the entire 2000 season, he was writing "How to beat the Bombers" articles all season. He was hoping that the 2nd most dominant team that season, Carlton (Robert's first love), would knock us off! Now i don't see him writing articles on "How to beat the Lions (Robert's 2nd love). :mad:

His credibilty as an impartial and credible journalist died when he failed to tip Essendon at all during the 2000 finals series (after losing just one game in the H&A).

This year ... he has done nothing more than stick the boots into our club ... and no mention of his first love ... who just so happen to be on the bottom of the table. :rolleyes:

Funny thing is that as a kid he used to barrack for us, had a seat in the Showers stand, went to all the away games as well. Not wanting to sound like a norf fan here, but it`s clear that he despises our club. Unlike norf fans who cry at every opportunity about cazza`s treatment of their club, walls makes me laugh.
It`s true what Topdon says, he continually tipped against us in 2000, they year we broke all records, we beat carltons 1995, which hurt this scab bad.
His hate for us, came from a few run ins on field with Essendon players, but the big one was when he coached Fitzroy in 1983 v us, he confronted a couple of our boys at half time, the crowd was in uproar as walls faced off to Billy Duckworth, Billy laughed in his face and walls wanted to keep going on with it, magic stuff.
We have messed with his head it`s plainly obvious. I read his work, barely able to keep a straight face and have kept all the 2000 stuff, he hates us, and I love it, maybe you should try that norf fans.

The jerk absolutely REFUSES to give us credit for anything.

Perfect example: I watched 10's broadcast on tape after I got back from the "G", and during the fourth quarter there was this exchange:

(Camera is on Chris Tarrant)

Quartermain: "Well, is this the rebirth of the Bombers, Robert?"

Walls: "Umm, urg, um, well the gameplan has changed...um..there's Chris Tarrant there, what a disappointing effort he's put forth, blah blah blah blah"

Asked point blank if he thinks we are back, and he changes the subject!

I vote options 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. I was especially disgusted with his commentary of the Round 3 game against Brisbane, but he has always been a prick. After that game I wrote him a long letter, about 1000 words, telling him exactly what I thought of him and his opinions, pointing out how pathetic he was. At the time, it was really just an expression of the anger I felt at him, because I was never going to send it I suppose...couldn't find anywhere to send it anyway.


That article? ****ing ridiculous. Get a clue Robert. Wonder what he's thinking now? :rolleyes: :D

My third post in a row...I really should learn to get it all in one :D Anyway. In the footy thing released in The Age pre-season, Walls was the only one not to place Essendon on top of his end of season ladder. I don't care about that, the fact is, he would have put us there because of his heart and not his head. Dumbass. And furthermore, all through that preview, was Robert writing off Essendon - is their chance over, are the really that good, bla bla bla. :rolleyes:

To be fair, taking the season as a whole, hasn't he been correct on that?

This was never just about the Bombers - footy supporters have to see how bias he is against the Bombers, but also for Brisbane, Carlton and Richmond.

Fifty grand says that his tip this week will be for Freo to knock off the Bombers, as they will have more to play for, or Essendon still haven't hit form, or some other reason he can pull from his rear end.

true that bout all that is written about walls above, i've seen replies of games he played and he seemed like a pussy any way. would also like to point out both geard healy and jason dunstall's lack of praise for anything essendon every does well. anyone remeber walls attack on sheedy on talking footy i think it was. what a bloody sook

I heard their exploits on 3AW on Saturday night. Kept on harping on about Buckley's injury and how it was a big loss and that was the reason Essendon were so far infront. Of course neglecting the fact that Blumfield was giving him a pasting! And after the game ... our victory was resulted from Collingwood playing badly opposed to Essendon playing 'well'.

Remember, you can only play as well as your opposition allow you to.

Robert Walls gives Geelong nothing as well, but that doesn't surprise me as he was the coach who had the record highest score kicked against his team by us. ;)

How did I know Robert Walls would sit top of the list?

I agree he hates to be nice about Essendon (which makes most of us other supporters happy), but he should give some credit where it's due. It will be interesting if his Essendon attitude changes when Sheedy leaves.
