Super impressed with this lad. Looked like he belonged out there. Poise, skill and hard at it.
Time will tell, but I'd be putting my hard earned on him being one of our good early draft selections. Nobody will be able to criticise us for picking this kid up.

i agree he was great in what was a shit day, he was good in hard ball gets he was fast looked really good, needs abit of work but played an awesome 1st game alot better than ive seen alot of 1st gamers in along time

His "don't argue" on Milburn shows the character of the kid.

Great debut, spewing he missed that sitter, but l suppose you can't have it all.

If only, if only, another one of our high draft picks *cough* BLING *clough* could start showing a bit.

and also the fact his 1st goal/kick wasnt an easy one made it even more sweeter

Shut the F*** up... Seriously, you are nothing but negative comments. You were an ok poster back in the day, you are nothing but the arse end of scum these days.

Note: Not all threads have to contain a link or reference to TW. Here's a thread congratulating a young kid on his first game and somehow TW pops up in a negative context. Yawn!!!!

Great goal with his first kick, then a couple of minutes later an extremely clever knock on that set up Lids' soccer off the ground. That tap didn't get enough credit.

Great debut game. Could see what all the hype is about with his game today. Disappointing that he missed that goal because 3 goals would have been a sensational debut, but pretty good nontheless.

As Truetiger said above, he won't be back at Coburg. :thumbsu:

I was hoping I wasn't the only one who saw it. His 2nd touch in AFL footy... showed guts, determination and a footy brain. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Cotchy looks like he can think in traffic, and slip his man with ease.
He's going to embarrass a few players in the Seniors with the way he plays.
Looks like he belongs out there.
Go Cotchy!!

Absolute class, going to be a star already more valuble then a lot of our veteran players FFS.
Glad we didn't have pick 1 because we might not have taken him

Sent shivers up my backbone a pure joy to watch will be a champ and even though we lost a game I didnt think we would win that young fella made it worth while watching.:thumbsu:

it was on Scarlett

Loved the way he just got in there to play footy, its almost as if he didnt even equate it to be the big stage against the best in the land, played exactly as if he would have played in juniors last year, just took them on and played his own game.

Also liked the way Lids and him teamed up and looked for each other

He could have an ordinary next few weeks and get dropped to Coburg, so let's just let him cement his place in our side before we cream all over one game.

he can become a club champion and more..

The promising thing was that he could have been better :thumbsu:

Missed a goal he'll never miss again and didn't get many easy possies which comes from running hard (lacks fitness) which always meant he couldn't run and carry as much either.

He's set a pretty good standard for himself and most importantly he looks like he'll surpass each week.

was at the MCG alllll day from 11 onwards and got very very excited everytime the cotch went near the ball, which lead to my missus rolling her eyes continuously. But for some reason i seem to have missed this dont argue that posters all over BF are talking about. please tell me someone knows where i can find some footage otherwise im gonna have to sit through a whole bloody replay on foxtel during the week, which is most likely gonna be at 3am.

The tap didn`t get any credit on the TV. I was watching and thought gee thats good think it was Cotch, but then came the adds. Saw again in a replay but no mention of the knock made. A great debut, showed poise beyond his years, looking forward to seeing a great Tiger develop over the years.

Good luck to you Trent
Congrats on an excellent Debut

Eat em alive Tiger!

As for the "elite group" who've kicked goals with their first kick in footy then I wouldn't be shouting out about it - there'd be plenty of duds in there.

But as for Cotchin he looks like a beauty. Very composed and knows where the ball is going to go. A real footballer rather than an athlete. Hate to pump him up too much too early but looks like he will join a truly elite group in the next few years.

It's about time we found an absolute star :)

There is only 1 absolute elite star with an early pick every 3-4 years.

We missed Buddy, but we scored Cotchyboy ;)

He's already better than Bryce Gibbs, will easily be a class above Marc Murphy and we all know Smirnoff >>>>>> Kreuzer.

Relieved to have found the player we needed before pushing for a flag :thumbsu:

Had a great game but I had to laugh as he ran on to the ground. After running through the banner when they turned to run towards goal he slipped over and ended up left behind on his ass.

Would like to see him nominated for Rising Star this week. Other players have been nominated after 1 game.
