Hey, I can answer this one (then everyone can feel free to heap crap on me, in the usual Big Footy way):
Springwood would stay exactly where they are.
Regardless of whether anyone thinks that Yeronga should be up a grade or not, based on previous years, we asked at the end of last year whether two teams would be dropped from the Pineapple Hotel Cup. Our thinking was that 12 teams is two too many, and that a 10 team comp would be ideal for the draw.
However, we were advised by the League that Clubs would not (or could not) be relegated without 12 months notice.
But things change. Given that Caloundra is probably the benchmark of the Association right now (well, they pulverised us on Saturday), I believe they are keen on promotion. If final standings were as they are now after Round 8, would Caloundra push hard to see a swap of clubs happen?
Would it impact Springwood? Or as Lenny quite rightly points out, would it affect Caloundra's neighbour, Maroochy - North Shore instead?
Of course, there's a long way to go yet ......

Magpies going up makes Div 2 11 teams. You'd think one up or one down.
Be stiff if it was Springwood. Prelim finalists 05-06, going through a rough trot now but other clubs have been poor longer, although turning around now. I'd imagine a Yeronga (if they want to) or Caloundra to come up.
Although I hope its not Caloundra cause another Suncoast trip isn't something I'd look forward to. :)
Chin Up Adrian,
I was at the Aspley V Springwood game and thought Springwood put in a gutsy effort for the first 3 quarters. The mighty Hornets pulled away in the last quarter and the final score did not indicate
how close it was for most of the match.
I reckon a few of the older senior players at Aspley need to match the spirit and teamwork shown by some of the 17 - 20 year old players at Aspley at the moment.
As was the case last year PBC and Western Magpies seem to be in a league of their own.

What are the training numbers like atm.
I know its been a long season and may just be a long 3 years. Time to see what kind of blokes you have around your club.

If the opposition put 39 goals past you, -half a dozen kicks puts you best for the Pumas. :D
You are now paying for V-force playing in the AFLQ.
Mt Gravatt should only have one "Reserves/Seconds" team. Admit it. Some of these players should still be at the Pumas. No wonder you have problems!.
Dougie Hondo seems a bit quiet too! Anything to say for yourself, Dougie???:D:D:D

The V Force didn't help but the V Force wasn't the reason for a mass exodus.
And I think DH is away.

Surely the Pumas are headed for Div2 if not Div3.
losing 50-21 to 4-1 is surely the highest score recorded in QLD, especially at this level.

We're already in Div 2.
And I don't think we're going anywhere.

That explains the huge losses.!
You must be kidding if you think you are staying put. Surely the AFLQ would be thinking to demote your club. On second thoughts... The way they operate maybe not. Perhaps they might promote you!

We'll see.
Sandgate and Redlands were rubbish (not as rubbish, but the last six weeks have had reasons) for a lot longer and didn't get demoted.

Mugabe's regime. He hasn't played for the Zimbots for a while so I assume they've turfed him.
