Didn't care much for this weeks game. Mainly because we played such an elite side.
I'm over it already.
What I wont be over is if we lose to Essendon this week. I HATE Essendon. We have to win this match and teams who we are or close to better than. Essendon is one of them.
Every year, this match builds in stature. If a time has come where we can KILL Essendon, this is it.
Go you ____ing Tigers!

We are playing better footy than them, a loss is unacceptable.

Spot on ranger....no excuses this week!! The last month of competitive footy can be flushed down the toilet if we don't beat the Bombers.

Yep good thread, I am not overly disappointed with yesterday. Geelong are such a strong side it's scary:eek: They've done it all year, cruise along almost in neutral for most of a game, lift a gear for a quarter or so and win in a canter.
Fire and brimstone this week please, I wanna see us really rattle the Dons with some hard at it footy. We can match the Bombers mosquito fleet in open spaces, and we should beat them in the contested situations. We rattled Geelong ever so slightly early in the game yesterday, we need to come out like that next week.

Im super excited bout this week as its my first visit to the G for a few years, but I do worry we'll drop our bundle and just expect to win against the Bomber rabble after playing the top teams in the last month.
ps... do they serve full strength beer at night matches these days or do you reccomend I bring a hip flask?

Oh man, i hate games like this. Clearly we'd be the favourite going in, but as we all know, the Tigers have a bad habit of dropping games like the one coming up :(
Drop Tambling for the Dreamtime game? Not going to happen, but after his last 2 weeks it probably should...

We need to win this, lose and all hell will break loose here and in the media. As others have said, no excuses for this game, we've played the last of that month of horror, now onto a game we should win.

the fact that we got beaten against the cats, went close to the hawks, let the doggies off the hook should make our boys hungr for a win.
i think we will beat the bombers but thats not the important game in my mind, the following week to be able to back it up against the swans , then adelaide followed by melbourne.
we have a great chance of winning 3/4 of these game.
that would put us in a reasonable position with 5.5 wins from 12 games
and probably in the eight.
anything is possible after that. but 8-10 wins would be roughly where we are at .

Yeah only mid strength at night games which is a joke considering you can pay more and get a JB and coke if your intent on getting retarded.
