THE SANFL IS THE BEST STATE LEAGUE IN AUSTRALIA, WE THRASHED THE VFL LAST YEAR ON THEIR OWN MANURE HEAP AND THEY CAN GET STUFFED. VICTORIA THINK THEY HAVE EVERYTHING WHICH IS THE BEST BUT NOT THIS TIME !

The VFL is going through a fair amount of upheaval at the moment and will need some time to settle down. The 18 team competition is in the throes of being reduced to a 16 team competition and the relations between the old VFA sides and the Melbourne AFL clubs is still being worked out. When it does become settled, I think it will be recognised as the second best football competition in the country, after the AFL.
In the future players from 8-10 AFL clubs based in Melbourne/Victoria, will be playing in the VFL, whereas the SANFL or Westar Rules will only draw players from two AFL clubs.
