Is it time to have a look at our fitness and injury management? This year and last we seemed to be getting a lot of avoidable injuries.
Cox has been very good this year but it worries me that he's playing with a broken bone in his foot when we've got nothing to gain.
Glass is another example.
Hunter was suffering knee problems for the first few rounds but was continually selected. Then he went down with a major knee injury. Perhaps there was no correlation - perhaps there was.
I realise that sometimes guys play when they're not 100% but there are some injuries where you should not take risks.
Who runs our fitness program? Are their any stats made available publicly that allow comparison of the clubs regarding incidence of preventable injuries (e.g. groin, hamstring injuries)?
