So they get the first fifteen picks, and they want more?
They're going to win 5 premierships in a row.

I take it you are not too familiar with the use of capital letters either?

Should just give em picks 1-44.

Of course he wants more.
He forged himself into football folklore on the back of the most favourable concessions in history

If you hadn't already noted the team SuperDude follows, then have a quick look and it explains a lot.
Educashion I'm guessing, isn't a high priority.

This might have been a more interesting thread had you said what concessions they have, and then what additional concessions they want.
As it is, I don't know what you what you talking about re these additional concessions.

If they weren't asking for more and more then they wouldn't be doing their job. It is a negotiation; GC asks for the earth, everyother club demands they only get New Zealand, in the end it is up to the AFL to ensure that the Gold Coast only get what they need.

I thought education programs were a high priority in gaol.
How about they get the equivalent of Tony Delaney, Todd Ridley and Dale Kickett?

Head of Fremantle recruiting.
Well not only did he think he could trade them this year, he was deluded enough to think they would get "priority" picks for them.
Some people never learn.

for god sake, a bunch of first round picks doesent equal a flag in the first year.
look, you cant have a competitive team from early on, AND no poaching players from other sides, AND very few concessions.
remember, most of those picks will be traded away to other clubs for players of different ages and experiences.
its the only way to build a list overnight in a system that seriously restricts player movement and makes building a list a long process.
What, you will trade them to the Gold Coast this year?
I don't think you thought this through.
Sure...we'll quarantine them from the other clubs and take Rich and Hurley. :thumbsu:

I say they shouldn't be able to take any uncontracted player from clubs that haven't played finals for a while.
They should only be able to target Geelong, Hawthorn etc players - not Carlton or Richmond players.
Until Carlton and Richmond are playing finals there is no reason to be introducing new teams into the comp. Let's settle down the existing comp.
Draft concessions should be less - not more. They should have no picks in front of Carlton and Richmond and other underperforming clubs of last 7 years... give then pick 10 and beyond.
Why can't anyone spell anymore? Consssions? Good grief.
If you are going to be Dr. Dictionary then the correct English is any longer or nowadays, unless you are stupid American we don't use the bastard word "anymore". ;)

No matter what happens to the Gold Coast, they're on an hiding to none.
If they finish in the top 8 everyone is going to scream and bleat about how success has been handed to them on a platter.
If they finish in the bottom 8 everyone is going to laugh and spit at them and bemoan how much of a failure Gold Coast are.
You morons can't have it both ways.
As a poster up thread said, the GCFC would be negligent in their duties if they didn't negotiate better terms, because that is all this is, a negotiation.
