receive an email yesterday/today asking them to upgrade their membership to either Gold or Kennedy Club?
The only reason I ask is that I'm already a Gold member (hehe) but now I'm a little worried. I checked my membership card but it doesn't mention which level of member I am but I'm sure the letter I got with it said it was a Gold membership
Should I contact the club?
Also I thought the club had sold their allocation of Gold and Kennedy club memberships. Anyone know for sure?

Hi i received the email as well to upgrade. Maybe they have sent it to all members. Am ecstatic they have released more Gold & Kennedy memberships as i missed out on it. I will be calling the club this morning to upgrade our 3 silver memberships to Gold.

Maybe it's to coincide with the AFL/MCC releasing more seats to club members for the Grand Final, but that happened a few months ago.
It's still utter bullshit.
The GF should be 40% club members, 40% AFL & MCC members and 20% Corporate...

No grand final should be 60% clubs at least. If your counting the free ones each team gets to use as fundrasing and crap like that. AFL members who aren't clubs playing on GF should get lower priority. 10% corporate, that's 10,000 corporate tickets, which is enough.

I'm not convinced about the upgrading purely on the chance you need a GF seat.
$300 pa buys a lott of stuff, or, if they do crack a GF, 3 yrs of $300 gets you halfway to one of those evil corporate seats - you can buy them you know

Is this the club cashing in on our early season form to get more moola and suck people in who desperately want to attend if we make it????

Just a question, im a silver member. I have no intention of going to a grand final as i prefer to watch a grand final on tv in the comfort of my home. What im trying to ask is there any benefit in having a gold membership if i will not attend a gf. I like the silver membership and reseved seats. Just after the oppinion of others that may have a gold or kennedy club membership.

Nah should be 10% AFL and 30% MCC
or
10% Corporate and 20% AFL and MCC 30%
