Great bunch of people! Took the loss on their chins and did it well. Nice to see them being 'inspired' (as one said) by our play and wish us well for the year. Don't see many Geelong Trolls either which is what i respect.
Thank you for the game!

Go Pies!

Generally agree .

I've got a couple of Geelong mates and there's a few others that come out of the woodwork when they are winning but they usually are pretty grounded .

Although being disappointed, obviously, tonights game showed that every team is beatable. Pies were awesome tonight, every attempt was made to hussle.

Amazing fitness too, to keep it going for all but about 5 mins in the third when Cats kicked 3.

I am definitely impressed. As stated on other threads, hope pies keep it up for all vic finals.

I guess if its your second loss in 28 odd games you wouldn't be too concerned

For the most part they are pretty good, not nearly as arrogant after last year as the Eagles fans were, and not even close as painful as Hawks supporters are.

You wouldn't know it looking at the Cats board at the moment! But that said, football is about winning and losing, and hopefully more of the former, less of the latter.

You guys solved the Gordian Knot tonight and did it with style. Well done.

Yeah some of them....you should read some of the d1ckheads on our board at the moment.

Congrats on the win pies, your team was simply terrific tonight.

I dont mind geelong supporters, if only we put the hawk fans back on their box a few rounds ago

You guys were great tonite, deserved the kudos....

Im glad we lost to you guys, you played one of the best team games ive seen for a while. Well done.

A loss is a loss; its what happens next week that will show whether Geelong have a set of "brass ones"....:D

Hopefully we can get some decent odds on the Cats vs. Carlton next week... I doubt it though. :(

Only my "no backing for or against Collingwood" rule prevented me from taking Collingwood at +24.5 this week.

My two Geelong-supporting companions were gracious but left at 3 qtr time... I can't say I really blame them though.

No, I stayed till the end cos I am a good supporter! ...Pies played well...it was the loss that was coming to us, and you did it well.

I agree Geelong supporters are loyal they stayed there till the end . If that was some other team they would have left at 3/4 time. The cats needed this loss they will rebound.

Yeh, stayed to the end and I thought we handled the loss well, but I honestly believe this winning streak has tought us how to be humble in a loss (if that makes sense) because we know one loss isn't the end of the world. There is still alot of confidence there even after a game like tonight.

Geelong supporters are fine with me. Hope they smash the Blues next week.

I honestly think the Cats supporters don't get enough respect around here (as in the whole site, not this board). We've had a disgustingly good run and besides a few tools (I'm sure you all know who) I think we have been quite gracious winners. I mean look at the Hawks fans after 8 games this year. We had a run that eclipsed theirs many times over and I don't think we've been half as unbearable as them.

Good game by the Pies though, they know how to play us.

Agree with that. Apart from a couple of knobs like Renegade and GC_26 Cats supporters have been good.

Honestly if it came down to Geelong and the Hawks for the flag this year, please let it be Geelong. Hawthorn fans are big enough flogs as it is and all they have done is win eight in a row.

i had the same rule until i broke it throughout 2007 finals - bar the prelim;) - i was very worried about that game and geez u guys came close - corey smother and a 50/50 ball-up call. I cant remember the last time we had an easy win against the pies... i can remember a very similar game 2 years ago though! +24.5 was too good to knock back for me.

wouldnt be suprised if our next game is a quarter final.

Cheers scottyD. We haven't played as well all year as you blokes did last night. Enjoy the win. Not looking forward to reading Hawthorn bullshit this week though.

from a fellow ScottyD good to hear. I think the "keeping a lid on" really kept Cats fans in check last year. And by the time we won and this year began we realized it was a whole new season. I have a mate who is a Hawks supporter and to him Buddy is a second coming and they are a shoe in for a flag next year (if not this).

I cant see I have been that confident since half time in last years GF!!

You guys played inspired football last night. Was a great performance. I really enjoyed watching the pies.

I am a bit confused how to feel right now though.

Seen you around scottyDeewah.

No doubt the boys had the loss last year in the back of theirs minds last night. Never seen a team with so much determination to get revenge.
Geelong posters have been very nice about their loss. Which, i'm pretty sure no other club supporters would.

Kudos to Collingwood last night, they played well and surely are the best tacling side in the AFL atm. They ran in packs and backed each other up superbly last night.

Only wish we had of played like that.

All the best for 08 but leave the flag alone you guys have to many.:p

Coming from the outside, would like to congratulate the Pies on last nite, but i think you both have to take a bow. I have never seen such mutual respect from both supporters. An example for the rest of us. Well done. :thumbsu::)

I loaded up on Apache Cat instead to make my money this weekend. At least there's a nice symmetry there. ;)

Well done Pies, you put pressure on us and we crumbled. Well done.

I left 5 minutes before the end, but I was going to even if we were winning cause I had to catch my train haha. Thats the worst thing about living 85 odd k's away!

See you in September :)

If you make it... hehe

Great win Pies. I have to say maybe the exception of our 1st final & Grand Final that was the most complete game of football I have seen for many years.

Hawk supporters carry on that we fear them etc etc... well I would rather face them than the pies in the finals if need be..
