When the replay was run on the hit Rocca put on Blake...which earned Blake a free.
Bucks comment without any fanfare..."Good fair hit".
Did not even try to justify it and not a whisper from the other boys in the booth in reply....I guess a fact is a fact.

Oh I hope he spends a few years commentating....

I stayed home and watched with mum, she likes to watch as if it's live .... mind you this morning she couldn't remember who played last night let alone the result. Anyway Bucks was down on the ground and interviewed Mick before the game started and you could see both of just wanted to laugh like little school girls it was hilarious.

I've listened to Bucks on 3YawN and he is good, but I fear he will be mediaised by the AFL media industry sooner or later.

I noticed at Half time over and over again Bucks criticised the fans for giving the boys the traditional Collingwood Standing ovation before the final siren when we are in the middle of tearing a team a new one.

Obviously something Bucks doesn't like ...... and something he should be used to by now more so if he intends to coach us.

Lol, you could just feel one was going to crack. Good to see them together, and in that type of circumstance.

Sorry guys, as an impartial observer last night I thought Bucks was insufferable.

Spent a lot of the night barracking for Collingwood rather than commentating or providing a balanced view point.

TV/Radio stations would be well served refraining from having ex-player commentators on duty for their own clubs' games.

Rohan Smith doing Doggies games is equally as bad.

The problem is whoever you get, (instead of Bucks) will barrack for the opposing side to Collingwood anyway so the same thing happens.Besides i thought anyone commentating last night should have been happy to see the underdogs rise above adversity and knock off the reining premiers. But who am i kidding, it's Collingwood we're talking about.

I think you are getting the idea he was biased from the fact that Collingwood made all the play and therefore earned most of the praise, from all the commentators, and also the bulk of comments regarding general play as well.
In other matches Bucks has commentated he has been as scathing of Collingwood's play as any other commentator going around.
He went out of his way to point out O'Brien goal was technically not a goal and several times last night pulled no punches when he though a free should or should not have been payed.

It might of sounded like he (Bucks) was barracking for Collingwood as we were just owning them (pussy cats) he couldn't help but praise us.

Dennis Cometti's call of the night...

Straight after Medhurst goal after the final siren

"Ohhhhhh COP THAT!"

I reckon Bucks' commentary is excellent, he really knows what he's talking about & doesn't just state the obvious. He actually provides an insight into what is happening.

Robert Walls is the worst, he just hates the Pies.

Bucks is a fair and honest commentator who "tells it as it is", he even had a go at ben johnson for his kicking last night (fair call).

2 more years at 7 bucks and come home.

And at least Buckley shows some allegiance to us, why shouldnt he, he bled black and white for a large portion of his life, and no doubt still does.

Tony Shaw is the example of how not to treat your old club once you enter the media, for the first few years after he got dumped as coach he bagged us again and again. He even went so far as to say that he was doing this on purpose. But then again, dont worry Shawy, we still love ya.

Walls is totally out of touch with the game. He is the "most sacked" coach I can think of and he is a tosser...what's there to dislike?

Even Dennis is working a bit hard these days to come up with more and more oblique references to describe the play. He should just let it come out instead of obviously having little scripted pieces he tries to fit in when ever he can. He was far more entertaining when he was just being spontaneous.

Bucks is a breath of fresh air because he only says something when it needs to be said and or answers questions put to him.
Why TV commentators feel they have to fill ever second of a game with commentary is beyond me? I think Bruce started it...constant rambling and meaningless stats.
