yes we won but seriously, a lot of you are acting like geelong supporters, the club finally won some respect on the boards but some of you lot keep posting shit demanding more respect. everyone will just go back to hating collingwood and generalizing supporters.

there is nothing to be cocky about i agree, u guys played great football and deserve all to be congratulated but geez u guys didnt beat us in a prem final or win a flag, its home and away and thats thats, finals r what its about!

A couple of people are going a tad over the top on the AFl board. Its the sort of thing that may come back to bite us.
BTW, Varcoe, what was it you said to me during the pre-season? I remember it being something along the lines of you were going to thrash us in Rd 9 this season...........

Me too. It was a fantastic win dominated by superb tackling BUT we outnumbered them at almost every important contest which makes me suspicious that something was wrong with Geelong last night. Lots of players carrying injuries? A dose of the flu at the club? Mental fatigue from being up for too long?The cats looked very flat.
The greatest team of all :cool:

the test was not friday night and not what the pies do with wc next week but with carlton. win well and we are on the way. lose and its goodnight with this team and staff. its about as important a game in judging our long term future as any i can remember in a home and away season. no excuses this time- i have had enough of the emotional wins and promises in mid season.

yeah, im taking it week by week. im not thinking about finals atleast till we play west coast this week and see how we go against them

I'm waiting to see if we go 3-0 in the next 3 weeks (which we should), then I might start to get a bit excited...
8-4 would be a nice start to the year, would have taken it before Round 1.
But you never know what is coming next but I prefer to be optimistic.
If we can get 8-4, top 4 is not out of the question at all.
I'd like to finish 4th, with Geelong on top, do a job on them again in the first week of finals, and then go fresh into the Preliminary and watch out after that...
