Some of the thing he says about the Blues players are very true time for the Blues to step up, we have 40+ membership I hope that inspires the boys today here is the article http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/news/no-excuses-for-blues-tigers/2008/05/23/1211183110778.html

Walls is right. Waite does need to prove he can do a big job and Stevo and Scotland do need to harden the ____ up!

Kreuz and Hammer should if anything gain some experience against the much bigger Sandilands. We can hurt them in the midfield today.

Fev should kick another bag, if we can get it out of the centre and deliver the ball properly and Betts just has to keep doing what he has been doing.

Oh but some players will think Wallsy is too hard/harsh on the Blues ..

FWIW He's a club legend and premiership player and captain, and I think all his criticisms are spot on ..

He's an commentator from the 'old school' and that's no bad thing in my book ..
Frankly players get molly coddled enough as it is, and i really agree esp with his comments about Nick Stevens to toughen up.
Stevo has annoyed me lately, in that he seems a bit 'precious' about people making fun of his weight in the 'media' and then seemingly complain about being 'filthy' on missing out on the capitancy ..
The captain issue I can sorta understand (mind you we're talking about Chris freakin Judd here) but the weight issue and then getting really hostile at Andy Maher (amongst others) really seems a bit petulant for me.

BTW He might have been right about Fev last week, although his bad kicking of goal is hopefully just an aberration.
I think Waite is the one that most needs to pull his finger out so to speak, I think he does drop his bundle when the team is losing badly, and I think he should try and 'toughen' up when the going gets tough.

Oh but some babies will think Wallsy is too hard/harsh on the Blues ..
Frankly I'm rapt he's started tipping the bucket on our guys instead of that week's opposition like he usually does.

Actually it's not so much a bucket as a rev-up. I hope they have it up on the change-room wall today.

Walls'y flaps his gums. i still think our guys are trying their hardest.

i think some of our supporters need to harden the ____ up, it should only be a couple more years of losing now and then hopefully a golden era. all the building blocks are in place.

harden the ____ up everyone

Firstly Fev should not of kicked 10 goals , 5 goals in my eyes is a job well done, Especially with 2 blokes on you , Fev is human he is allowed to miss once in a while, just like us, One mediocre game and the wolves come out looking for some prey.
Buddy Franklin kicks a shitload more points than Fev , but the difference is the Dorks have someone else to bob up and kick a few , this is were i think we are lacking most.

He mentions how waite needs to contain the strongest in a premiership side. Ok walksy the fact he was moved from back to forward a shitload of times ... not from week to week, but in 1 game he will be moved 5 6 times , that was under pagan , but in my eyes still will affect the developement of him being a chb.

Nick stevens ok, almost could of been in a wheelchair, how much would this affect hes willingness to jump into a pack. Scotland on the other hand has been used across halfback so not to much midfield time for him , i know scotland is an outside player, always has and always will , so dont expect him to change anytime soon!

All in all we need all 22 players to fire for us to come away with a win , not just these 4 !

I have always liked Wallsy and I think that it's about time some of the players come under the scanner a bit more. Waite is a leader at the club and to me it seems he hasn't improved that much considering he has 94 games to his tally. As for Stevens he will always be a outside receiver and I don't see that changing now. Scotland does some brave things but not enough to my liking, and maybe a hard nut like Wallsy speaking his mind in the media about our boys will get them moving.

Crikey BG, it wasn't that long ago that you were calling for Betts' head. And he has been one of our more consistent players this year.

Would Eddie be up there in or B&F considering he has busted his guts for us and he does do some awesome things during the game.

You could argue that he has been our most consistent player this year. Had another solid game again today.

Has been fantastic this season Eddie. The only consistent support Fev's had in the forward line. :thumbsu:

Check out Wallsies comments on the Ruck:

Matthew Kreuzer/Shaun Hampson
They are both tall skinny boys, but the Blues have to show faith and let them battle it out in the ruck against bigger, more experienced opponents because they are the future. And they have got more talent and grunt than the just-dropped Cain Ackland. They will be beaten in the hit-outs today by Aaron Sandilands, but that won't matter much, because the Dockers are the worst in the competition at winning clearances.

Proved prophetic!
