a few on TC have said that thorton will be a late withdrawal from the game.
Can any one confirm the situation?

Can't confirm, although I imagine that this would be quite likely. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Thornton was expected to miss around 6 weeks.

I cannot see them risking him unless he is 100% at this stage of the year. Our back line is thin but it will be a good test for them. Win the ball at stoppages and the middle and don't allow it down that end.Simple really

we have had dodgy calls for ppl not playing before games a bit this yr..
* Stevens against Richmond
*Waite against Collingwood
hopefully he does come up but otherwise, he should be right for next week

I never really thought he was a chance- but he did get his photo in the West and looked OK (still photos do tell so much)

Thornton is out. They have updated the gameday live teams and Pfeiffer is named in and thornton out.
