Beating Freo : We must win or season over

Ratts said we hqve to get over losing streaks to certain team and Freo are defintely one. For us to win we will need:

1. Tackle, tackle, tackle - Bentick and Betts will have to play the roles of their lives.

2. Limit Farmer the animal to 1 goal and Pavlich to 2-3..Pav will dominate all over, but if we limit his scoring ability we have a good chance. Same with Farmer he makes us look gay, time to reverse the trend. Tarrant should be well held by Waite

3. Mid-field switch ON. Stevens has to fire today or we are kaput. Simmo need to apply pressure and pace in the mid. Carrots will get possession but be useless, unless he's delivering it adequately to Fev, but only if pressure is not on.

4. Fish must kick at least 3 goals. Interestingly Fish plays well against Freo, he needs to play his best game today.

Season will not be over as it is about development but it is a winnable game.
I marked it down as a win before the season. If Freo were up and about we would have been in trouble but they are not. If we play well they will die

As good as Carlton are going, I really don't think we are top 8 material just at this stage. Mind you though, we should be aiming for 10-11 wins and probably a finish of between 9th-11th, that would be a realistic target.
And as optimistic as I am of us beating Fremantle today, if their season isn't already over it certainly would be if they lose to us.

Really hope we put in 110% from the opening bounce today. Freo have a massive experience advantage, and will be fired up from all the bad press, but we matchup pretty well. So glad Ackland has been dropped. Wanting Ackland to be dropped is almost a cliche now, but he was truly terrible last week and a Momentum Thief. Hampson is the type of ruck that worries Sandilands i.e. big leaping, ultra-athletic ruck. Hampson jumped over Sandilands consistently in the pre-season game. Kruezer needs support and he'll get it today hopefully. We have a much better midfield than Freo and need to make it count. :)

Wheelbarrow game - the job is ahead of us. The result is 100% up to how we play. Do ourselves justice and it does not matter if the Dockers play well!
