If any of the doubters care to go over my comments all year you will see that I have been a massive supporter of AB and today he well and truelly proved it and was rewarded with more game time....
In a nutshell...the guy has done nothing wrong and we have the pace to cover him..

Yeah sorry. I am sure he will get me on board but I struggle to get excited when he gets close to the ball. I will watch the replay again tonight and report back. I have been known to be wrong...on occasion. You guys have seen more of him so I am sure are better judges of his worth

Yeah Bentick played really well today. Was there when every hard ball was to be won.

Bentick was SUPER IMPORTANT today and no doubt won us the game.
Sandilands was domnating the hit outs and AB was central to us in roving the ball off sandlihands, time after time you would see AB getting a hand in, tackling, smothering and getting the handball off to our runners.
He wouldn't be far off BOG today.

Every ground has one of those small circles where he does his best work so you don't need to worry :)
His effect inside those little circles has never been questioned my friend, it's the impact he and his opponents have OUTSIDE those circles that's been the issue. ;)
I for one am very pleased to see his current form but it remains to be seen whether he'll be in our best 22 in a couple of years.

Good response. AB played well today, that doesn't make him a superstar. We've got a LOT of good young players. Let's see what happens.

Very handy against average teams and he exposes us badly against good teams. As such it is simple if u want to stay average keep him.

Reality check his last two opponents have been Simon Black (abliet he was moved off him several times) and Rhys Palmer (played 8 career games) each of home were pretty much that teams best players.
As I have always said he can win the ball but his disposal is generally average and he has no ability to stop opposition players or chase so he will be a liability against the top sides. QUOTE from Big Red is back

Anyone can make up these 'disposal is average' lines but of course the stats often show otherwise. In the first half he was on a kid who is supposed to be super quick and blitzed him. Is that not called stopping? ( Mind you, I think he might be taking lessons from Diesel - hurt them more)
Yesterday although he only played 76% game time compared with 84% Palmer he had 11 more possns, effective disposal 87 - 70%, had 10-4 contested possns, 7-2 clearances and had 2gl assists while Palmer had none. Add to this the fact that in the third Q when Palmer got most of his possies AB was not on him, H.Black seemed to be tagging AB in the bounces. In short - he creamed Palmer
Against BL, He played one and half quarters on S.Black and equalled him for contested possns in that time

Against Brisbane he was the only player with the heart and courage to chase all day. All our midfielders look bad when we're getting dominated, but Bentick is a player that will always have a crack. He deserves his spot a lot more than a number of passengers, ie Russell, Grigg, (maybe Judd).

You know very little about Carlton and i suggest you watch him closely and you will repect the work/effort he puts in time after time.
