View Full Version : a win is a win
Being from Perth and watching the game with 5 other freo supporters was tough but the win always helps.... I am in my carlton jumper and can't wait to walk around for the rest of the day/ arvo in it... what a goal to seal it also...
Overall our skills are still very lacking.... we need to stamp our authority, when we were running strong through the mid-field it looked awsome....
Positive note fev only 1 goal and we won, thats gotta be a huge plus, I thought fisher was very good also

a total blackout of the game in Adelaide today so i didn't see it. just from looking at the stats though it seems alot of our younger guys carried the day. Grigg and Bentick in particular look like they had great days which was fantastic. On the downside it looks Judd, Murphy and Fev all had quiet days and again very little from Kreuzer who i really think isn't ready for seniors. Anyhow stats can be misleading, i'm looking forward to reading peoples reviews of this game.

I was at the game and I'm sorry to say that it was by far the worst AFL match I've ever seen, and I've seen plenty of games where we've been thrashed over the last five or so years. Skills were shocking, decision making terrible, our forward line lacked any kind of structure, our defense was a joke and sadly lacking in natural defenders like Thornton and Jamison, and the only thing that kept us in it was Freo's comple lack of anything resembling a midfield.
On the positive side Simmo was fantastic, Bentick was brilliant in the stoppages and we managed to win a game while playing rubbish football which should be a good sign for the future.

Agree with the bolded bits.
We need to play up the guts. That was the difference in the last 5 minutes IMO.
ARE YOU GUYS NEGATIVE OR WHAT

If you have not seen it, please don't comment - you will appreciate the contributions of Judd, Murphy and Fev when you see it ;)
Learned to win ugly today.
Not a game that you would want to keep for the archives, however, we won, which is important for our young list.
