Graeme Thorpe is likely to miss Ashes this winter. Do England still look strong enough (if they ever did) without him?
My line-up would be
1.Tresco
2. Vaughan
3. Butcher
4. Hussain
5. Crawley
6. Stewart
7. Flintoff
Look strough enough? I really DON'T know! :(
On the plus side - bowling looks to have plenty of depth in the seam department (still worried about our only logical pick for spin)

Dunno, what about Tim May?:D
i'd like to see England go for Dawson, 23 years old and at least he spins it. Took a useful "Michelle" against Lancashire in the Roses game this week.
Tufnell is still playing. I think England will do a little better this time around but I still predict 3-1. Though if Australia bat like they did last summer in the middle order we will lose Ashes.

That batting line up doesn't look strong enough to me. There are a few goers there but no real pedigree apart from Stewart & maybe Hussain.
They've gotta come out positive, mindset is all important I feel. England have often gone out to bat a beaten team in the past. If they start well it should be a close series.

Out: M Waugh
In: D Lehman
Thorpe has come out today and said he is now available for the Ashes.
