Have already got mine and I'm absolutely pumped! Last game I went to at the Telstra Dome (Rd 3 v North), I ended up sitting next to the mother of one J. Lewis...a lovely lady! Hope this game is an absolute belting...

No, i heard her talking about him as if he was her son to the person she was sitting with. I just asked her and it turned out that, yes she was! I tell you, we were not happy when Pratt went down right in front of us.

If you are a 16 game Hawks member, yes, if not you will have to pay the general admission price (plus booking fee).
Level 2 is by far the best, unfortunately, was all sold out:(
Some level 3 up close, or else you will be stuck in general admission near the back in impared views...

Keep an eye on whether it is declared to be a fully ticketed event or not. If it is you won't just be able to scan a 16 game membership and go stand or sit wherever you want- you will need to reserve a seat!
Rocking up and scanning won't work!

Use the barcode from 16 game memberships to book a seat. You pay the ticket book fee think its about $5. You CANNOT just scan in on the night!!
Blame the booking fee on Essendon!! No point blaming Hawthorn! ;)
From the Hawthorn official site;
Round 11 Essendon v Hawthorn - Important notice for members
This game is a fully ticketed match – all Essendon home games at Telstra Dome are fully ticketed.
Therefore 16-game home and away members will not be able to scan their membership card to gain access to this game. These members will need to do the following:
Upgrade to a premium reserved seat on level 1 or level 2 (currently on sale)
Obtain a seat on level three for the cost of a ticketing fee (pre-booked) $3.40 for an adult and $1.20 for a junior – these go on sale two weeks prior to the game
Obtain a seat on level three for no cost on match day from the box office
Purchase tickets online from Ticketmaster.
For more information, please contact our membership team on 1300 042 957.

Obviously if your just going to rock up before the game and hope to book a seat for free allow lots of time. If you don't get this free seat it will cost you a fair bit more for a L1 or L2 seat.
L3 will most likely sell out quick but I could be wrong! Hate these sort of games at hte dome!
so does this mean level 3 is nearly sold out there surely would still be seats left on level 1 its still 6 days until the game.

also the AFL - surely they could have stepped in and moved it to the MCG - with 80,000+ members for the 2 clubs (plus the non paid up people) there is a minimum 30,000 missing out on waht should be a great game of footyis the bombers play like they did against the Crows every week

Ticketmaster release bays in segments. The problem with this is you have idea whether it is the first, middle or last lot of bays they are selling....so all I can say is don't delay to make sure you get in. Certainly wouldn't advise rocking up on the day without a reserved seat hoping to chance your luck at the ticket box office without paying the booking fee!

From AFL stakeholder's point of view it's definitely not.
The AFL has interest in getting as many games at TD as possible and only exists to make money for the stakeholders. No one knows who they are as they are a non listed company.
A game that will sell out the TD will NEVER, EVER be moved to the G. It's not going to happen.

Mate,
I just wandered over to Telstra Dome from work to purchase a couple of tickets for the game, and the only aisles that I could get 2 seats together were in aisles 48, 1 & 2.
All, sadly, are near the Essendon cheer squad.
I purchased seats in Aisle 1, row M. Think we're just to the left of them as you face the ground. If you were in Aisle 48, I think you'd be right behind them.
Went on ticketmaster just then, and was able to get tix on level 1. But, as an AFL member, I find it ridiculous having to pay $23 for a seat when if the game was at the G, I'd simply be able to rock up, scan my card and get pretty good seats.

Wouldn't they try and consolidate the different sides Members?
Agree with your frustrations guys. It's preety crappy, as an Essendon supporter who stands, that we have to put up with this crap every week. I stand at games and still have to either line up or pay a booking fee for that privilege. I daresay it will likely be very Essendon inside the dome on Saturday night so good luck to the Hawks who get tickets!

Got myself some tix today.
11 rows back behind the goals for standard price.
Not crazy about the spot but anyways, when I questioned how much the next most expensive seats were and discovered they were about 10 bucks more. I thought stuff it I'll get em, assuming they were on level 1. But no they were just a few rows forward of the cheap ones!!
As far as I knew there were 3 different prices for the 3 different levels at the dome, but no, there are now 4 diff prices at the Dome, or at least, 4 diff prices at the dome for the bigger crowds and/or ess games.
Crap seats - 22 clams.
Bit better than crap seats - 32-33 clams.
Good seats - 42+ clams
Best seats - 52+ clams.
Freakin outrage.

The ticketing system is disgraceful when you get the chance to go down and book they haven't released them yet or if your a day late they don't have any left on level one. AFL members this is for.
You guys should count yourselves lucky you don't have to put up with it every bloody week like we have to.

Not necessarily.
Sounds like you got part of a Functions Department allocation that hasnt been taken up.
Delaware North Corp = Telstra Dome caterers would need to know how many dinners for each of the function rooms so they get the required food stuffs in by tomorrow (Friday). If Essendon only sell say 200 seats in a function room that seats 300 those remaining 100 seats are sent over to TM for sale.

They arent going to offer up too many medalion seats due to the price, and the other level 2 seats are just as good. they probably indicate to the TD that they need them to be reserved... in other words, save these seats til later on, less chance of the other teams filthy mungas from getting them - bit farfetched, still possible:P

Of the missing 6,000 most where Essendon supporters who have pre booked seats that decided going away for the long weekend was better than watching Essendon getting thrashed by the hated Hawthorn.
