Given both clubs are sitting comfortably in the top 4 at the moment, the chances of us meeting them in the finals is pretty strong.

With the exception of the round 21 game last year, our record against the Dogs since Clarkson and Eade took over as coaches, is pretty ordinary

Rd 10 2008
W Bulldogs 106 def. Hawthorn 74
Aurora

Rd 21 2007
Hawthorn 151 def. W Bulldogs 67
Docklands

Rd 5 2007
W Bulldogs 110 def. Hawthorn 93
MCG

Rd 10 2006
W Bulldogs 109 def. Hawthorn 81
Docklands

Rd 11 2005
W Bulldogs 111 def. Hawthorn 89
Docklands

Hawthorn 1
W Bulldogs 4

Is it a worry?

They match up well and their style works well too.

hard to say until both sides meet and they both have all their players on the park.

having said that even if we had hodge, crawf, guerra in on saturday they still would have smashed us, they were awesome. their midfield did to us what sydney did to us at the end of last year. they clog up the midfield and win the clearances - how many times did we win the ball only to give it up to them to win the clearance, it was just relentless. our ball winners are second to none in the comp, but when the opposition don't allow them to dispose of effectively we get smashed in the midfield.

What were a lot of people predicting before the game? That we would win. All credit too them but we were down in all the KPI's. We know we can play better and we now our best is nearly unstoppable. I would love the opportunity to play the dogs again this season. Hopefully in preliminary or GF. The season is like a marathon. You cannot expect to travel the course without the odd hiccup. Have faith in the players to re-group and get back the winning formula.

Maybe I'm missing something but there is only 1 Hawthorn win in those 5 games.
