Now this might sound a little silly but have given this a bit of thought. When a media outlet publishes these stupid stories such as they have on Buddy on any player all football supporters should band together to tell the journos what we think. Surely theres enough people on BF to annoy the media and show them that we are not interested in this crap being published.
What do I think we should do,every time one of these stories are published/printed we should flood the reply sections of the online stories, email the papers with our disatisfaction such as in 50/50 colombs etc. Hutchie has a website so we should flood them with our disattisfaction. Theres enough of us what do you think? Surely these outlets will stop with personal attacks on players after a while.

Right now I wish I could be infront of all the journo's yelling my face off at them. Everywhere I go today I see or hear people talking about this Buddy story. I could not give a crap about someone videoing Buddy's arse on their phone or what Buddy did at a nightclub the other night. What I want is for Buddy to just come out this weekend against Essendon and kick 10 goals. That would be great! I dont think I will be going onto hutchies website though but whoever wants to, feel free to go onto it and say what you like.

Isn't Damien Barret on MMM between 12-2 every Saturday as aprt of their AFL pre-show??
Might have to give him a serve on the footy open line this week... anyone care to join me?

What's the point in giving Hutchy's site more traffic, that's just good for his business. . . and never argue with people on the radio, they've got all the buttons, they can fade you out/cut you off, and they regularly do. If you're going to complain, at least do it on Finey's FinalSiren where he doesn't cut people off.

Send the gentleman an email.... I did. His retort was fairly funny, calling me a gutless wonder and what not. Here was his reply:
At least I put my name to everything I write.
Here's a lesson for yourself, gutless wonder - no one respects people who email anonymously.
Now go away, and please don't waste my time again.

That really is the only time on the air you'll get to vent your frustrations, listening to Frances Leach today really got my blood boiling, he cut anyone off that had a crack at the media, and his pro journo ranting was cringeworthy.
Make no mistake, Leach is a card carrying member of the journalistic cesspit, If you want to be heard, Mark Fine will let you have your say.
This is a call to arms brothers and sisters, get on, and let it out, lets dominate this weekend final siren's and maintain the rage against these unaccountable cretins in the media.

That's rich.
So people respect those who write articles about what is said off the record?
Nice work, Damian.
With every word he writes, he comes across as a bigger tosspot.
Hutchie has a website so we should flood them with our disattisfaction. Theres enough of us what do you think?
May i suggest saturating it with links to pron sites , that'll _____ im up.

Francis Leach is the most arrogant little smurf in the media. He thinks he's better than everyone else and talks down to his listeners. I hate that sort of thing.

Open a can of harden the ____ up you lot! Seriously though, what do you expect the media to write about? There doesn't seem to be a coach in the sights of the media clowns at the moment, other than Clarko for firing up on the weekend, so what else are they supposed to fill their time with? This is multi-billion dollar industry we are talking about here. Hysterics are part & parcel with the turf.
The best thing for Buddy, and any other player for that matter, is to:
a) keep away from those situations and places, whether they are of his doing or not. A sad but true reality for high profile people these days with all the wankers around wanting to make an arse of themselves whenever they see someone famous, especially footballers; and
b) answer the critics with good footy. But not this week. Pleeeease! :D
It'll be over with by Friday and someone else will be the target next week.

If it's Essendon they get stuck into, we can expect to hear no complaints whatsoever from the Essendon fans then.
Yeah, right!!!

The bad news is that this game (or any other) doesn't exist in its current format without the media. Its entire reason for existence is to deliver us all to advertisers via the media. That's why they forked out 3/4s of a billion for the rights. That pays our boys. Any sport in this country would kill to get the coverage our game gets, and we have to take the good with the bad.
Barrett's bosses at the Little Paper would be thrilled with the uproar, so would soccer, NRL, netball or any other game if they could get it.
The best way to attack it is don't buy the rag, and say nothing.

The problem is, people actually believe that .... including the media themselves. Football is very marketable in Australia and the media needs football every bit as much. Time they played the game fairly.

Mate, I think you missed the point. Others picked it up. :thumbsu:
It's all just bullshit that keeps the media off the streets. This week it's your boys, next week its someone else's. Treat 'em (media) with the contempt that they deserve. :thumbsu:

Could not agree more. I'm not a big fan of Buddy off field "FROM WHAT I'VE HEARD" but in saying that, what he does on a Saturday night has nothing to do with me.
Why do we get so involved? It's just wrong! If he has an arguement with a girl or gets into a fight. It's really not our place to comment.

It is a fact that sport would not survive without the copious amounts of money which they pour into the industry through T.V rights and what not.
I can see what you're trying to do but how can you expect members of any other club to join you? Hawthorn supporters carry on about the misdemeanours of other clubs players quite alot so it's a bit rich to say enough is enough now that it's happening to one of our own.
