One would think there will be a couple of ex GVFL players in the rep side. I am down there on business for a couple of days that week so will go and watch a some games. I think the Queensland side will be very competitive. Remember the "QUEENSLANDER" roar. Thoughts on Cairns players making the QLD rep side. Here are some that I think will make it.
Saints: Walsh, Eagle, Hose, Coatsworth
Souths: McMilliam,Foss,Shaw
Port: Smith,Douglas,Betham
Maybe's:
North: Elliott
Centrals: Sirra
Hawks/Cobras : Nil Sorry guys with only a certain amount allowed from the Cairns Region you guys will miss out. I would be very interested to know how many are allowed to be picked from Cairns. If anyone knows can you please reply.

Eagle unfortunatly couldnt play in the Rep game this week,, so chances of him being picked for State Country would be tough ? McMillan , Douglas and Betham have been training , but pulled out last night of the Rep side . Im not sure if you have to play in the Rep game this week to get selected for Queensland ?

I can't see why a player wouldn't be picked in the state team if they have been training etc with local rep side and have had to pull out this weekend due to injuries. If qld want to be comptetive then they must play the likes of McMillian and Co. Let's not forget that he was the Vic Country rep CHF so why wouldn't you play him. Foss played VFL last year at Geelong, Beetham has played at StKilda, 40 senior games and Robbie Douglas is a rep from from GVFL. Makes total sense to me that all three would play and it would be a discrace if they missed out for anything other than injuries. I just hope that common sense prevails. The qld rep coach has an outstanding record and I think he would want these type of players in his side.:)
does anyone know the Teams for the Stockman vs Cairns match? i'm involved in the match yet cant seem to find the teams listed anywhere.
cheers

im sorry but if you dont play rep for Cairns then you shouldnt be picked for Qld. If we did this then no one would play for Cairns. From what I hear they have struggled to get 22 players anyway.
