I know a few of you guys are into poker on here, what is the worst beat you have had in poker?
Reason I am starting this thread is last week I copped a bad beat that has made me stop going to crown, well for the last week anyway..
I was sitting on a $2/$3 No limit table and I went on it with $300, I wasnt doing to bad throughout the day, got up to $550 at one stage.. Now this is where I became (ummmm I dunno the word) but I was so furious with my opponent and myself that it has made me boycott the poker tables..
I was in mid position and I got dealt 10 10.. I raised to $30 and got a caller (small blind).. The flop came out 10 J J.. I bet $30 again and this guy re-raised me all in.. At this time I had $450 or so and I was thinking do I call this guy (he had $320).. I had a look at him took a good read and I made the call.. He was semi bluffing me, he had Q K off suit, open end straight draw.. I showed my hand and he goes nice hand, I thought I was home.. The dealer turned over a K.. Then he rivered the K to my horror!! The bloke hit his full house Kings full of Jacks..
I dont know about you guys but that bad beat has turned me of the game, the guy was like apologetic for going all in but it just made me RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, angry..

Have any of you guys had any bad beats that you would like to share to make me feel a little better?

Yeah i was playing 1/2 at Crown, flopped ace 10 suited hearts, I was the big blind. Someone raised to 15, got one caller so i called. Flop comes 3, 6, J, all of hearts. The first chick raised to 50, the second dude folded. So I called all in (80 or so bucks). The chick had pocket queens. She was a bunny and i had her completely dominated. Turn 6, River 6. Full house game over.

My god was i pissed off after that.

Nothing like seeing your opponent beating you after getting a straight with the last two cards -.-

Was playing at Crown. I think they're $2/$3 tables. Anyway I had pocket rockets, raised big, someone called, ace comes out on the flop, raise bigger, someone called..... after the river and going all in it turned out the bitch had a straight. ____.

Was a few years ago in an online tourney.......can't remember the stack sizes but we were both about the average stack with myself slightly outchipped.

Anyway - pick up AA and flop comes AKK. Flop the full book. All our chips end in the middle and this guy has only 10 10. Turn 10. River 10.

 Not ____ing happy Jan.

Played the 1/2 at Crown about 6 months ago and saw this hand (I folded pre flop).

2 guys both with big stacks both see the flop cheap. Flop 8Q8. Check check. Turn blank, check check. River A.

First to act - I'm all in.

Second guy - I ____ing call and turns AA for a full book on the river and he is absolutely pumped.

First guy says sorry mate and turns 88.

Had shocking luck a few nights ago.

Had KQh (my pet hand), so bet $5 pre-flop (this was online). Two others called, so I thought I was sitting pretty.

Anyway, the flop comes out, Kd 8h 5d.

I've got top pair here.

Decide to push and bet $10 - they both call.

I'm thinking that one of them has to have trips or perhaps AK.

Anyway, next card comes out and it's a Qh, so there now is ...

Kd 8h 5d Qh on the board

I've now got two pair (Kings and Queens AND flush draw here). Slow play this one and check. One of them raised to $15 (which is all-in for all of us) - the other one calls - and i'm thinking WTF and call myself.

By this time, there's something like $90+ on the board.

Anyway, last card comes out and it's a 5h.

I have the flush.

Guess what they have.

One bloke has trip eights.

The other?

Quad fives.

If only it were any other heart.

:(

How come there were two Qh Phil?
He would have meant Qd.. Typo..
That is a great hand to win, feel for Phil and the other guy with full house.. Online poker is rigged I reckon, I seriously believe it is scripted, each hand..

Probably not my worst beat ever, but an upsetting one nonetheless. Blinds 10/20. I get dealt pocket 9s and someone raises to 50 and 4 people are playing. Flop gets dealt:

9c 3h 2d

I'm thinking beautiful, I have this pretty much won. A bloke who has ____ing K2d goes all in. I'm the only caller. Next 2 cards.

Smashed.

Nowhere near as bad as this though, check this out, always cheers me up when I see this :D

I almost won big playing online. There was a royal flush jackpot for spades it was up to 25k US.

Get dealt A, J of spades, Flop comes Ah, Ks, and 8d. Some guys bets about $20, I call. Turn comes Q of spades. Some guy pushes me all in for about $60. Im looking at the pot odds here. I have to put in $60, for a possible pot of $25,000 if a 10s comes up on the board. Of course i call. Flop comes 8s!!!. Im pissed off but i get the flush, the guy turns over K 8.

Was livid!

Stupid to go all in there, definately give it a raise but commiting to that with a pair on the table is too risky, though I like the balls.

He was a loose player and if I had my time again in that hand, I would fold with so much money at stake.. You learn as you go, for next time, unless I have the absolute nuts, I fold any hand with so much at stake..

PartyPoker $50 + 5 sit 'n go.

Heads up I am small blind with 5h 6h. I call the big blind bet to see a flop:

Flop 8h 7h 9h.

I have flopped the straight flush. I decide to bet out about half the pot on the flop hoping that my opponent has a big heart in order to either call or push with. I am raised by which time half his chips are now in the pot. Figuring that my opponent cant get away from his hand I push all in. Cards are revealed and my opponent has 9c Jh.

Turn is a rag and then on the river....you guessed it, the goddamn 10h falls. The prick has hit his one-outer to river me with a bigger straight flush.

Unreal.
