when asked by francis leach on SEN what he would say to the players pre game he said this
- forget about last week
- take them on
- do the things youve been doing against teams like the bullogs
- back yourselves and believe in yourselves
- because when you believe in yourselves you take them on
im sure the boys will take this on

From the most un-credentialled arsehat on the tv.
I'd do the complete opposite to anything that COAT says.

Who's David Shwartz and whats he doing out of the TAB , (most insipid , unimpressive , useless comentator ever on TV) I would rather watch a baboons red arse for 4 hours straight rather than watch that piece of Sh%T butcher commentary week in and week out for channel 7.
Like Tony Shaw he will be writing for the Murtleford Gazette next year under the banner of John Doe covering the lawn bowls.

Don't joke...knowing us ...our board probably heard that interview and where so impressed they contacted him about replacing Wallace.:o
My advice to David Schwartz....better to keep quiet and have everyone suspect you're a fool then to speak and remove all doubt.
Yeah not particularly original or insightful...but neither is he...
Gee, we're scraping the bottom of the barrel for people to bag aren't we lol
Someone has belief in us and you think that's a bad thing?
What have we done over the last 28 years to think we can go it alone? Not much.
Did his advice hurt anyone? No.
Is it constructive, even if it's not really rocket science? Yes.
Anyone believe in democracy and free speech? Obviously not.
Can I believe people could be so ridiculous to start a thread like this? Yep, it's the Richmond board

Can't belive the flack Ox is coping, just for giving the players a jee up, some positive reinforcement. Hasn't caused any harm. We go bloody nuts on here when anyone on Leage Teams says anything slightly negative (see Shaw and Parkin threads), and when a commentator has some positive thoughts, we bag the crap out of him as well.
Typical Richmond board on Big Footy stuff.

I thought Andy Collins was from Bendigo.
I may need to reorganise my pilgrimage.
when ox was still playing , would of been around 9-10 years ago .
he would come into our newsagency everyday & buy a packet of smokes.
couldnt believe a sportsman would be smoking that much.

I don't think he's a super commentator or anything, but he was put on the spot guys, it certainly wasn't "advice" and he isn't claiming to be some kind of coaching expert.
In this case we he was simply asked how he'd fire up the players and he said the first thing that came to mind.
That's all.

Point of order. He came from Drouin. He only spent a year in Myrtleford.

Yeah we shouldn't bag a bloke who gets highly paid to be an "analyst" for coming up with such "inspiring" stuff that any two-bit under 9's coach could dribble in their sleep. Shame on us.:o

Funny thing is that he is right ! The unfunny thing is that Wallace wouldnt be telling the players the same thing.

I'm sure Wallace spits out plenty of empty cliches like "believe in yourself" ad nauseum to the playing group , that's appears to be his specialty FFS. Problem is we need him to be a football coach , not Tony ____in' Robbins.

But empty and simple cliches are the only things some footballers understand.
KISS syndrome!
Hence Schwartz is a genius lol
