The Western Bulldogs would almost have to be the best team in the competetion at this stage, i would think. Geelong have been disappointing (86 point loss to collingwood. Hawthorn, they almost lost to melbourne and lost to the Western Bulldogs. What do you think?

If Geelong don't, I wouldn't mind seeing the Dogs get up.

Of course I'd love the Hawks to, but Geelong are the team to beat. And if the Hawks get knocked out I'd like to see the Doggies win it.

Hard to split Hawthorn and Geelong at this stage. I'm probably leaning towards the Hawks at the mo.

I actually think he should have been a touch bolder and added Sydney into the mix.

Adelaide are the good.

$150 on them to win it at the start of the season.

Well it's pretty hard to predict who will win the Premiership between W.B, Haw and Geel because you have no idea on what form the teams will be in later in the year. S.t.Kilda in 2004 were undefeated after around 11 rounds and made the P.F. So it's hard to say from here. If Hawthorn lose Franklin, roughead, rioli, hodge, mitchell. c.brown through injury, they won't win the premiership! :)

I can see Sydney winning it.

Although I'd like the Bulldogs to win it this year. :thumbsu:

My heart says Hawthorn but my head says Geelong.

I think at the moment that Geelong will play against Western Bulldogs in the grand final with Geelong beating the Bulldog by 4 goals. Ithink hawthorn will lose against geelong in the P.Final :thumbsu:

I hope Geelong but Hawthorn or Dogs could give it a shack.

Geelong are still the team to beat. Hardly any injury troubles and even when there are, they've got so much depth it's scary. There are some challengers now like the Bulldogs and Hawthorn but they'll still take some beating come finals time.

I'm not just hoping but thinking the Bulldogs can win it. The speed and skill of the Dogs could really test the Cats. They just need to match the Cats intensity.

Isn't is funny how nearly everyone thinks Geelong, but hopes for the Dogs. Im a Dog supporter and a biased one at that, but I still think the Cats are gonna be hard to beat, mainly because they have the finals experience (like a previous poster said).

'Cause everyone loves the underdog…except Geelong supporters.

I think that Western Bulldogs don't have much of a chance becuase they gave up after half-time after been 47-all. But if Geelong thrash Hawthorn this week, Geelong will be a clear favourite for the flag.

Geelong by far at the moment, but Adelaide and North Melbourne/ Kangaroos would have to be threats at the moment. W.Bulldogs are starting to drop and getting tired, Hawthorn's defensive zone worked out, (in terms on how to beat it kind of, buddy's is inaccurate too), and adelaide is building form quickly and the Kangaroos may be the real deal since they beat Geelong at Skilled Stadium last year by 16 points.

What's with all these superteams lately? Every year it's a one-horse race.

Jascave
19 Aug 2008, 22:45
I think this Geelong side is far superior than the one which won the Grand Final last year. In fact, I reckon Geelong could easily surpass that 119 point margin that they did last year, in this year's Grand Final.

It's gonna be a Tassie Premiership this year ..

stay_fit_tommy

Geelong will do it comfortably over either us or the Hawks, it won't matter. I'd like to see us have a crack at them in the Granny just the same.

Cozzie
28 Aug 2008, 17:33
Although most probably wish they don't I can't see it being anyone other than Geelong. Much the same as 2000 when most hoped it would be Melbourne but knew they didn't have a prayer.

well done to the 59 people that picked Hawthorn (most of them were hawthorn supporters) :thumbsu:
