View Full Version : Why does the "New Breed" need minders?

I really thought they had cleaned up there act, but it seems as though management doesn't think so:

I guess when you think of it, all the best gangsters have security, it is a necessity with the day to day turf war. You never know when your relationship with the coffin cheaters is going to sour, fortunately the eagles have managed to keep that relationship pretty sweet over the years.

Another issue is people with mobile cameras exposing you for what you really are:

http://goalsandgirls.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/03/cousins.bmp

Not good for publicity, not good for the new breed marketing campaign, not good for business.

And given how soft they are when confronted physically on the field, it would only make sense that they would be just as soft off the field. Better to have a security guard there, because Adam Hunter and the rest of the team aren't going to be much use.

Well done Don Barnaba, you have learnt from the errors of Don Goodings' reign.

hoss, chops and bushie.

you spent the whole weekend bitching and moaning that WCE supporters have nothing to say about their club and all they do is start threads or turn threads into trolling of Freo.

yet i get to work this morning and one of the first threads i see is (yet another) thread created by one of your fearless leaders trolling West Coast.

so now i'll use the repetitive freo line as a comeback to this thread:

"man you guys suck so hard and you're 1-10 so you have to create a thread about the eagles. you guys are so obsessed man. don't you have anything to say about your own club man. you guys just deflect all the time man."

We do have quite a young list, it's true.

In contrast, Fremantle has no need for babysitters but several training staff are kept gainfully employed making sure the players take their meds, have regular afternoon naps and don't soil their incontinence pads.

I can see many players really detesting having people following them around all night.

It will be ok for the young blokes, but the older guys will crack the shits. I bet they didn't expect this when they wrote up the "core values".

I wonder who will be first to tell barnaba to stick the core values up his arse.

If they do a good job for us we can give their number to the dockers and they can hire a couple to mind Mark Harvey after docker losses to make sure he doesn't trip over his bottom lip while having tanties at the media. I really like his zen like calmess with the media and his articulate way of dealing with their criticisms. Jeff Farmers wife might be interested in getting one too to be on call after docker losses.

Looks like you really made another great decision with your hiring of Harvey. Didn't even bother interviewing anybody else. It's going really well too. All those fantastic young players you have on your list that you told me about pre-season are leading your team to glory with your 1-9 record. They are going great guns ... in the WAFL. Haha. Like Warnock. The next great ruckman of the AFL, you were telling me before the season. Admit your bad decision and clear the list out and sack Harvey now.

Try bagging our club AFTER you have actually achieved something yourselves.

And here's a tip: try barracking for a team BEFORE they become successful.

Just because i joined bigfooty last year does not mean that i started supporting the eagles last year, moron. What a stupid comeback.

Your clubs supporters are the ones who jump on and off bandwagons. Remember the days, not so long ago of crowds of only 20,000 at docker games before the two master salesmen Connolly and Schwab came along and did their Tim Shaw impression and convinced freo supporters that the rabble of a list that their rabble of a club has could win a flag. How gullible. How long before they start jumping off again?

No surprise there really.... neanderthals. Fremantle really has turned into 1 of the worst dives in Perth... only a matter of time before the inhabitants there start carrying guns as well as knives. Wish we could fence the place off from the rest of Perth and just leave the feral scum to inbreed amongst themselves.

Will these minders be giving advice to Lynch for example, on how to get away from police? And what if... say... purely as a hypothetical ;) that someone is passed out in the back seat at the time, and there isn't enough room for them to fit? Do these minders get to watch any action? In the interest of player safety, is ensuring safe sex a part of their job description?

And are the minders going to have the deal with the ******, the interchange system is? Afterall, now that Sydney have done it, you can have as many on the field as you want, right?

You'll have to ask Stronzo he's the one telling the story here, not me.

But all jokes aside, it must be difficult for an AFL player to have a half decent night out these days.

Even just having a few beers and getting a tad rowdy will get your name in the papers ala Richo - you don't even have to do anything wrong anymore.
