Here ye, Here ye. All fans of our great game I call a vote, one that will shape this great board we call Bay 13. It is in this thread you put your balls on the line and put a rivalry aside to save face as reputations are on the line.
I would rather Gumbleton, Johns and Jetta ahead of Murphy, Gibbs and Kreuzer anyday. I think most fans on here would agree (that aren't Carlton fans!)
The very intelligent poster quoted above has stated that most fans of our game would rather Gumbleton (An injury plagued top 3 'superdraft' pick who has yet to play more than 3 games), Jetta (A run of the mill type forward, good skills and pressure, goes missing and so early into his career is known more for his off-field discretions) and Johns (Refer to Definition of Dud)
over
Kreuzer (A developing young ruckman in his first year and has already shown more than the three combined), Murphy (In his third year now but in his first year managed to come third in the rising star after just 12 games. Hasn't taken a backward step playing a very pivotal role in Carlton's 5-6 record in 2008) and Gibbs(So much expected of the young boy but hasn't yet delivered as quick as what others have, has been impressive but is yet to consistently play up to his own standards. Again has shown more than Jetta, Johns and Gumbleton combined).

Now I turn to you, the public to vote. And as per conditions Carlton fans need not vote.

if you are really interested in finding out peoples opinions, you wouldnt need to try and bias them by telling them what you think in your post.

kinda loses all credibility when you tell people why they should vote for what you want them to choose.

still.......if it makes you feel like a hero, go for it.

you would prob get high off a placebo.

Hardly fair.

He's only responding to the idiodic comment quoted in the OP.

Not worthy of its own thread, the answer is fairly obvious.

Are you seriously dumb enough to believe what you said?

Why would you put up a poll and then tell people what to vote for?

He has presented a biased reasoning for people to choose what he wants them to choose.

I'd get the Carlton coup just for Murphy.

I havn't seen much of Gumbleton or know much about him, but from potential basis, is the only player I'd like from that 3 players from the Dons but Murphy is the player North need

If you've taken any time to read the post you would've noticed that this is simply a reply to one of your fellow Bummers supporters. The Essendon trio was compiled by The_pundit, not by myself. So you voted option 1 instead of option 2 because.... I am simply taking up the offer of this 'the_pundit' fellow?

What The_Pundit stated was that 'he would rather' the Essendon players over the carlton players and that most people would agree that 'he would rather' have them.

What basis do you have to dispute what he would rather have? None.

Oh, sorry.
I thought from your coments that this was more about "reputations" being "on the line".

Good luck with enhancing your reputation here. It's obviously what you're hoping for.
Starting this pointless thread doesn't do much for your reputation though imo.
Just makes you look like a bit of a tosser so I'm really just voting against you.

Smartass bummer fan admitting defeat or illliterate bummers fan? I know and weather you choose to admit, you know that Pundit is saying that most fans agree that they themselves would rather the bummer trio.

So is that the standard 'owned' has dropped to, sad, sad day for BigFooty.

Murphy 26 goals from 46 games = 0.565 per game

Gumbleton 3 goals from 5 games = 0.6 per game
Johns 18 goals from 21 games = 0.857 per game

Why must you feel the need to blatantly lie?

This was not about my reputation at all. It was more about the better half of the bummer fans and the neutral supporters would vote with their heads rather than their asses. To be honest all I really wanted was a few bummers fans to just say "Stupid thread, we rate Jetta and Gumbleton but the Carlton trio are great players and we are not all total wankers like the_pundit".

It's obviously a stupid thread. Like I said, it makes you look like a bit of a tosser.

Of course I'd take your three #1 picks over those players. They're #1 picks after all!
Gumbleton, Ryder and Houli would make me think a lot harder though and we didn't have the luxury of getting them with #1 picks.

Also, I'm not so sure I'd be so happy with your picks compared to some of the players you could have had instead. There's quite a few better players currently running around in the AFL from those drafts.

There we have it, an opinion. Instead of arguing with the reasoning behind the thread that's all you needed to say. While I disagree with it's still yours. Alot better than the
"You're a tossbag, I'm voting with the bombers trio just cause you made the thread".

I contend that carlton sucks the talent out of them.

Guess I can't mock them for being drafted by carlton though. They didn't have much choice.

Racism implies you are mocking the race of a person. Are you not smart enough to realise that white australians are from the same race as the irish? caucasians you dweeb. its not racist at all since they are of the same racial classification as me.

Well I would take the Carlton players, but then they are 3 number 1 draft picks.

Much better than a number 2, number 18 and a rookie listed player who was told he would never play another game of Aussie Rules because of a busted up hip.

If we can get Gumbleton's body right, then I have no doubt he is going to be a very good player for us.

Jetta needs to start finding more of the ball, but he's been used as a outside midfielder. Needs to learn the game in the forward line as a small forward who can fill the role that Alywn Davey was before he went down with his knee injury.

Johns, massive punt that cost us nothing. Hasn't worked out, he'll be leaving us at the end of the season.
