View Full Version : Is Chad Cornes a soft or hard player?
For him to make the comment he made is it warranted coming from his mouth?
Bit off topic, but here is the excuse already coming out of the PA camp:
Coach Mark Williams also suggested a rest might be in order for battle weary utility Chad Cornes. Cornes shattered his finger in the round six clash with St Kilda and has been playing under duress for the past three weeks.
Cornes conceded Sunday night’s game was ‘probably his worst ever’, but Williams hinted it was another injury, rather than the finger, that had affected Cornes’ performance.
“Chad probably played his worst game ever, but to be fair he’s injured,” Williams said.
“We’re playing him injured and we might have to reassess that decision.”

So what, everyone has a bad game, don't make excuses, just come out next week and play well Chad.

So when does a finger stop you from putting your head over the ball??
Did anybody see him back out of a contest against Cloke?? a guy that has had two shoulder reco's and Chad backed out....finger must have been sore :D

Perhaps a cutting the finger off allow him to pull his finger out, excuse the pun, and play some hard football.

There's no doubting Chad Cornes is a damn good player but for Choco to come out and use injury as an excuse is sour grapes if you ask me. Give credit when credit is due! Gibbs had his best game for us yesterday and gave Cornes a bath! Truth Choco!

Chad Cornes is the biggest softc*ck in the AFL. Makes ballerinas look like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
I reckon "The Chad" thinks he's pretty hard but the reality of the situation is that he is SOFT. Oh, and an arrogant smug pr*ck as well.

The Chad goes well...he's plenty hard.
If you listen to his comments he mentioned that given the teams they had played, the coming 3-4 weeks was comparitively easier...he was right.
Ratts did the smart thing by grabbing hold of this innocuous comment and turning it into something the players could use for motivation.
The Chad had a terrible game...but look at the mark he took running back into the square. I only saw a quick grab, but pretty sure I saw one B Fevola turn his head away from the oncoming collision.
Let's all Marvel at "the Chads" mark... one where B.Fevola had a player grappling with him for the mark and "the Chad" floats behind them both and takes it making it look more spectacular that what it was.
I just want to pull out his vocal chords sometimes... it's not just what he says.. but his voice!

I really don't like the Chad, but you can't deny he's a pretty damn good player. I didn't see him do anything soft at the weekend.
And re the comment above about pulling out of a physical clash against Cloke, I honestly wouldn't mind seeing Bryce/Murph/Eddie pull out of a clash against Rocca/Charman/J Brown and save themselves from getting smashed for no reason.

Yep.
Pulled a heart muscle last year when he bailed out of the contest with Fev.
Some injuries NEVER heal.:o
Don't suppose he was pointing to the scoreboard again...........
9 possies.......imagine if Bannister had played.

F*** there's some rubbish on this thread.
Chad's pretty handy.... especially for a bloke who's middle name is Studley.

I couldn't care less whether he's a soft player or a hard player.
He's a ____wit.
And he is an irrelevant player against Carlton.

I can't beleive people talk that up so much as being hard. The view I had of it, Fev was being well blocked from making any physical contest with Cornes........probably just as well for Chad.:thumbsu:
