Heard Ratts on MMM just after 12.00

Said the following:
Went into 4th qtr with Lions win on the mind

Since taking over at the club, Ratts and Fev been working hard on his defensive side

Told Fevola he doesn't always need to contribute on the scoreboard

Told Giibbs he needed to back up a poor performance V Geelong with a great game V Port.

Said Jamo will return V Collingwood

Banno within the next two weeks

Walker expected to return V Essendon

All players going to watch Collingwood today

Thats about it!:thumbsu:

Cheers :thumbsu:

Glad to hear Ratts and Fev working closely together and glad to hear Ratts emphasising that he doesn't have to contribute on the scoreboard only. Adds another dimension to Fev's game and gives him something else to focus on rather than kicking goals ie. defensive pressure, hard chasing and tackling.... the team things!

Some very pleasing points there. Thrilled that Jamo will be back next week, and that Banno isn't too far away either.

That's exactly what I was thinking when my old man told me what Ratts had said... I thought the majority of us on here even gave Gibbs some votes from last week...?

Ah well, whatever he said worked! :p

Geez Bannister's hamstring must have been very servere.

Walker against Essendon sounds earlier than I expected, wouldn't be surprised if it was longer.

Would be good to have Jamison back - has thrashed Medhurst twice I think?

Probably want to trial him in a bruise free game before doing some contested work at training.:D

Gibbs was far from our worse against Geelong, what has Ratts been smoking?

It's a good thing he finally made some changes in the last quarter yesterday, it saved him from scrutiny as to his poor performance to that time.

fevs defensive side is wonderful, when he does it its is more exciting(compared to other players) and gets the crowd into it. Which in turn gets the boys going.

I'd wait to see the exact words. ATM we have them second hand by the sounds of it.

Wouldn't surprise me to hear it was "Good to see Gibbs have a great game after we were down the week before"
