So let me get this right.

AFL grants Sydney an extra $660,000 in their salary cap to make them successful.
AFL all but recruits Tony Lockett, Richard Osborne, Peter Everitt and Paul Roos to Sydney... then pays Ron Barassi a fortune to come out of retirement to coach them to lift the profile of the game.
AFL takes advantage of financially cripplied clubs like the Bulldogs, Melbourne and the Kangaroos by forcing them to sell their own home games to Sydney so that they are played at the SCG. As a result Sydney gets 13 home games a year. AFL tried to justify this as Sydney helping out the poorer clubs.... but when the Eagles and Adelaide offered to give these poorer clubs even more money to sell their home games to the Eagles and Adelaide the AFL stepped in and said NO you can only sell your home games to Sydney or Brisbane :rolleyes:
Hall gets let off to play in a GF for smashing someone with a fist to the gut in a prelim final. Their excuse was that it was "in play" even though the ball was the other end of the ground and Hall was looking away
AFL allows Hall to hold a media conference apologising to Staker for king hitting him... BEFORE he was to go to the tribunal for his punishment... when any other club in the AFL would be fined for talking about it.
Goodes gets let off again for hitting someone in the head.
Well done AFL. And people wonder why nobody respects the Swans :thumbsd:

Keep it up! Been a fantastic week. First we stick it up the arrogant Woosha by hitting the front for the first time with a minute left, then Goodes gets off at the Tribunal.

Fantastic. :thumbsu::D:D:D

Just wait till half of your list's age hits 33 and you have no youngsters to replace them. The MRP won't be able to save you then

In short;

Point 1, Living expense.
Point 3, The AFL saw it as an opportunity to test the market in those cities to expand the AFL. And is it any surprise 2 of the 3 clubs you mentioned have been involved in discussions about relocating?
Point 4, Travis Gaspar.

Surely its not Adam Goodes' fault he is being looked after so well by the AFL, perhaps he has to do the right thing by the game and himself and contest his charge and tell the AFL that he should not have been let off so lightly and ask for a proper suspension.

I know he wouldnt want to miss a game and neither would his club but the AFL is draggin his name through the mud because of this as he will always be remembered as a protected species. Im sure Sydney fans dont care what other people think but if he is to be remembered as a great of the game (which he should be) he doesnt need this hanging over his head.

Unfortunately if he doesnt do the right thing and contest the charge his name will be forever tarnished and he will never be remembered as the player he should have been remembered as. Even though this hasn't happened in a brownlow year his brownlows will be tarnished by this protection as well. Its a shame.

Does anybody agree with me on this?

Goodes was treated no differently from anyone else.

However the perception of favourable treatment will always remain. It is sad. He is a bloody good guy, a fantastic football player, a wonderful role model for his people, a great club man who is well liked by his peers, and a dual Brownlow Medallist who deserves much more respect than the crap he is getting on these boards tonight.

Grow up people.

Adam Goodes is a dog. 'Nuff said.Dog is a bit harsh fella.In jail a dog is a most despised individual.For obvious reasons.On the other hand an individual like your goodself would be known as a Bitch.So i would think lucky dog would be a more apt description for Goodes as he doesent have to walk around with a jar of vaseline in his back pocket to cushion the blow so to speak. :o:o:o:o

In short;

Point 1, Living expense.

Small problem with that excuse. It's more expensive to live in Perth than it is Sydney... yet for some reason the AFL won't give the Eagles and Dockers $660,000 more salary cap. I don't get it :confused:

Point 3, The AFL saw it as an opportunity to test the market in those cities to expand the AFL. And is it any surprise 2 of the 3 clubs you mentioned have been involved in discussions about relocating?

hahahaahaha oh yeah that's why :rolleyes: They were only giving Sydney extra home games to see if the Bulldogs would be popular at the SCG. ____ that's just brilliant thinking right there..... because nobody in Sydney would bother turning up to the SCG to watch a game for the Bulldogs involving... Sydney. :rolleyes: Yeah real indication there. :thumbsu:

Point 4, Travis Gaspar.

Gee they let Gaspar off to play in the Grand Final :rolleyes: Just goes to show you that the AFL knew what they did was wrong because Gaspar should have been suspended.... they only didn't suspend him because they knew they were in the wrong with Hall. Typical :thumbsd:

I've noticed a lot of Sydney supporters defence for all the bullshit favouritism their club gets is 'Stop whingeing'. Almost as good as Port's defence yesterday in the last quarter.

Even if there is some truth in the COL gap decreasing. There is nowhere near the "outside" and "after" football income to be gained by AFL players living in a rugby dominated state. No Nightclub gangsters drooling over Swans either!

Dogs, Roos and Dees asked the AFL. Sydney guaranteed a crowd & they made some money. They were broke, Sydney did those clubs a favour. As they have done to all clubs by boosting media revenue dividend... !

Gee they let Gaspar off to play in the Grand Final :rolleyes: Just goes to show you that the AFL knew what they did was wrong because Gaspar should have been suspended.... they only didn't suspend him because they knew they were in the wrong with Hall.

The outcome was never in doubt. Goodes is a protected species, if this doesn't confirm that I don't know what will.

At the end of the day who cares. Its Sydney. Whoop-di-doo. They have another 2-3 years and then its going to be back to their glory days of the early 90s (did someone say 3 spoons in a row?).

Btw good job with the pic B2B. :thumbsu:
