WHAT IS WRONG WITH EVERYONE WANTING TO DROP DUNN?
Are you people looking at the game or the stats? Tagged swan, kept him to 4 touches till half time. Take the blinkers off people.

No point rushing Petterd and Davey back, after we saw what happened to Rivers today

You think everyone played well. He's a talented player but drifts way too much in and out of the game.

He has had limited opportunities at senior level, has been given jobs to tag and been very accountable, but has to learn to earn kicks in his own right i agree, but this wont happen after two weeks.

I thought our team balance was ok today, so I'd go like for like. Morton needs a rest, Bode aint up for it, and a couple of unfortunate injuries. Valenti gets another go, CJ has earnt his spot, Whelan is much needed and it's time to unleash Stef Martin.
Out: Moloney (inj), Rivers (inj), Bode (omit), Morton (omit)
In: Valenti, Martin, Whelan, CJ
Only if Davey is 100% right to go would I bring him in, and I'd probably leave Valenti out for him.

Also Ricky Petterd played Sandy 2's and wasn't in the best, I can't see how he can possibly play AFL next round. It's good to see Zomer taking advantage of getting a run in the 1's and hope he keeps playing well, he looks a genuine goal kicker, but please hurry back Juice.

I want Maric in now - our forward line needs more...
I'm all aboard the Dunn train too. Can't be dropped by succeding in the job he was given today. How high are our expectations of him anyway? I thought he was more influential than Bate today.
Petterd won't be back soon, Morton doesn't need a rest at all, he got that last week. Bode deserves another opportunity, if Weetra can have 2 weeks, Bode can too.
Out: Moloney, Rivers, Bell
IN: Valenti, Whelan, Holland.
Valenti and Whelan straight swaps for Moloney and Bell. The only problem we had today was one large tagert deep forward, and with the quality of our crumbers, Dutchy will either take the mark, or provide a contest for the small guys to swoop.
I WANT MARIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also keep Dunny in, played well today and loved his snap from the pocket.

Bell needs to go. His decision making is woeful and handed it straight back to Collingwood 4 or 5 times. I admire his tanacity, maybe a role further up the ground so that his mistakes aren't as damaging. Haven't had much opportunity to see many Dees games in the Canberra area on FTA, but Garland looks as though he could be anything and Warnock is starting to prove reliable. I agree, we need one focal point in attack. Aussie W is the perfect crumber and Davey would work well in tandum. Yze's form is encouraging and I hope he has a couple of good years left in him. He's still only 30. Johnson looks as though he's gone up a notch and was good in the ruck and around ground. Might be some light at the end of the tunnel yet!!

Bate got killed by Harry O'Brien today IMO. a very bad match up. Garland and Warnock worked their backsides off today. Rivers was rushed back into the side while Bode and Bell can piss off back to Sth Australia for all I care!

I think three of those four out's are certainties, whilst Bode should go because he is Bode.

He had a nightmare of an afternoon. The bounce of the ball didn't help at times, but there are no excuses for slipping over, failing to chase or letting your direct opponent drift forward and bang home a goal.
Shall we?
In : Valenti Davey Petterd Carrol
Out: Moloney Bode Dunn Bell
what u guys reckon?
1) No way Nathan Carroll should be in based on his awful form. Nathan Carroll should play for the Zebras for the remainder of the season.
2) I can't see Dunn will be drop based on: a) played well yesterday and b) Robbo. Dunn will be the ideal player to replace Robbo for the rest of the season.
3) I can't see Bell will go while Rivers is injuried again.
4) Don't think should risk Davey unless 100%.
5) Like to test Martin in the defence. Guess he is not yet ready.

A good performance by the Dees.
Bell has been the one constant in the Melbourne backline - cannot go.
Rivers ordinary. Trade while still some currency (maybe?)
Whelan needs to come in.
Yze the surprise packet - was silky.

i was thinking the same thing with rivers, but he could be the same as powell in just needs to get his body right for afl... just thinking...
imagine if we lost another powell i would be pissed
Even at 90%, Davey must play against us even if it's as a permanent 'small' forward. We have struggled containing the opposition's small forward and if Milne can kick 7 against us, then anyone can and Davey is a much better player than him.
I am hoping that Davey is given another week to recover, but watch him and Wonnaemirri tear us a new one if he does play.
Good luck this week by the way. Loved the way you guys served it up to the Pies.

Drop Yze, got 25 possies, but cost us the game due to his selfishness. Had about 5 shots for goal in the last from bad positions when there were better options.
Also Bailey should threaten anyone who doesn't shepherd with demotion...we are shocking at it and it puts our ball carriers under pressure following a handball receive.

Let me just clarify why tugga is wishing you guys good luck. Most of us tiger fans have pretty much had enough of wallets spin and bulldust and are kinda hoping melbourne gets up this week so that he is shown the door soon. In 4 years he's achieved nothing and continues to reward senior players who should have been shown the door in his 1st and 2nd years.
Good luck dees!! :thumbsu:

There is another pendlebury??? dont tell me his the younger brother.I think it's his older brother and he is a running defender, go on to Collingwood's website and read their VFL wrap to find out more about him. I'm 99.9% confident he isn't on their list - he just plays for their VFL team, but that does put them ahead in terms of drafting him (if he is any good).
Browny's 200th this week :thumbsu:
I hope we smash you.

I don't think Morton should be dropped. From all reports, Richmond is going for youth this week and I think that should help Cale get some form back going against some players in a similar position to him as opposed to the harder, more mature bodies he was up against on Monday.
For Christ's sake don't drop Dunn, he's a very good utility. Liked the idea of moving him up forward too when our forward line turned to shite during the game.
In: Valenti, Davey, Whelan
Out: Bode, Rivers, Moloney
That may leave us without one tall in the backline but I think Bruce/Wheatley can do a job down back.
Bartram - Cotchin
Davey - Deledio
Whelan/Bell - Brown
Bruce/Garland - Richo

id go bartram on brown cd.
have warnock on richo as he is struggling with that knee and will most likely just be out of the goal square like last week.
davey on foley would be a great match up.
mcdonald on cotchin even though morton vs cotchin would be exciting.
We should bring back dutchy if fit and plonk him at full foward. Dont think richmond has much body strength for one on one contests in defence these days.

Too right chico, FFS we need to put a beast in the square be it Holland or Newton given Thursfield is to miss. He murdered Robbo/Neitz last year and is probably their only competent tall backman. And I mean that as no disrespect to Richmond as I'll put my hand up and admit I don't know a whole lot about their team ATM

Warnock to Richo

Brown has been playing more in the midfield, he was their most damaging player last week. I'd start Bartram on him, then maybe Garland if he goes forward.
And unless we bring carroll back (please god no) with rivers out and frawley still out we're down to 2 talls, Garland and warnock will have to take richo and polak or whoever their other tall is.

Holland didn't get up for the Sandy game last week, he was a late withdrawal and Newton hasn't played for about 4 weeks. I'm doubtful either will play this week but i'd say Newton is a better chance.
I think Thursfield out plays in our favour of playing a small attack again. I liked what i saw when we cleared the forward line and left Sylvia one out with Wona streaming in after the kick. Add Davey to that and we should kick a decent score. If it worked against collingwood, then there's every chance it'll work against richmond with their best defender out.
In: Frawley Davey Wheelan
Out: Rivers (inj) Moloney (inj) Bell (omitt)
If Davey is not right then bring in Valenti.
I assume frawley will be ok to play hurt his shoulder during training.
