interesting news seeing as jamo is expected to return this week we just might be in with a good shot of making it two in a row!

Very interesting...
How is Pendlebury going?

Good news, althouth these days Rocca is useless except for a few decent games here and there.
Still, we'll have plenty of things to think about with the likes of Cloke, Didak, Davis and Medhurst up forward. It's good that we won't have to think about Rocca, though.

nothing has been mentioned anywhere..i'd expect him to play but one less key forward is sure to give us some sort of edge!

Except in the article posted in the OP in which Malthouse says directly that he's set for an extended spell on the sidelines.
Other than that, you're right...nothing has been mentioned anywhere

My thoughts exactly Jeremias he can work well as our Wildcard sometimes.
Waiting on Pendlebury but the Collingwood board say he was very close to playing today, no doubt given a rest against Melbourne to be back this week :thumbsd:

Need to shut down the skirted girl Thomas, Pendlebury, Didak and at least one of Cloke and Medhurst.
Certainly helps not having him there, and with our defence led pretty well at the moment by Waite, Thornton and Carlos, we certainly have the players down there to cope with their talls. It's the smaller guys we have to concern ourselves the most with I reckon.

What is Rocca out with? I had heard he might miss the rest of the season after undergoing a very serious nose reconstruction!!!

I think we have to many talls in defence this week

Why bother shutting down Thomas if he's a skirted girl?
We need Rocca in the side, and if not, Cloke has to play at FF. Today we looked shocking without Rocca as the main target. If Pendlebury doesn't play, I'd be suprised if we got up. Your midfield will smash ours as it is, Pendlebury MUST come back.

Because despite being a skirted girl, he can kick the ball.
Girls play footy, too.
Who cares the nobs a train wreck anyway:):):)

Not in the AFL they don't. Let him run free.

Has barely played at all recently. The only purpose Rocca serves nowadays is to take pressure of Cloke - rarely plays a decent game. Their small/medium forwards are what we must be wary of (Didak/Thomas/Davis/Medhurst) - up there with Adelaide (Burton/Goodwin/Porplyzia) for the most dangerous spread of goal kickers.

rather see waite go forward. More damaging. But setanta on cloke im not sure about.
We need our best defence during the first 15 mins of the game till the heat settles a bit... so we need Waite, Thornton, Setanta and Jamo all in defence at this time.
But after that if our backs are doing well would love to see Waite float forward here and there.
I think Armfield would be the perfect opponent for the Collingwood Princess (Thomas). Thornton on Medhurst, Jammo/Setanta on Cloke, Gibbs on Didak.

rather see gibbs on thomas. Hes quick in the open, but gibbs wont let him go anywhere. Didak might be too slippery for gibbs....but not army. and jammo will get medhurst again

agree with that....
Would like to see:
Jammo on Medhurst
Gibbs on Thomas
Army on Didak
Thornton on Cox
Sentanta on Cloke
Carrazzo on davis
My Forward line would look something like this:
Grigg (tag shaw) Waite Fisher
Betts Fev Kreuzer
Midfield: Simpson AB Stevens
Rucks: Cloke, Judd, Murphy
INT: Russell, Hampson, Pfiefer, Scotland
Out: Wiggins and browne
IN:Jammo and pfiefer
Think we can smash the pies with this line up.
If we can release waite up forward he would destroy them, along with fisher, fev, kreuze and betts. Would definately give Mick a few things to worry about.

thomas and didak are the main worries, always seem to play well against us :(
hopefully gibbs can replicate his game against cornes and one of armfield, browne or maybe even thornton to shut down didak.
with rocca not playing i think we might be a bit too top-heavy, espcially if we go in with 3 ruckmen again.. thoughts?

Dammit, I wish Rocca would play, Collingwood are too dumb to realise he is a total spud, slow, no leap, inaccurate kick, average hands, Waite would have loved it rebounding it off this useless telephone pole!
The easiest way to rebound it from Collingwoods defence is if they kick it to Rocca...
Oh well, Jarrad can play loose or forward but might get Cloke or Reid or who ever else they have down there as a tall.
Just Kreuzing

Send Carazzo to Swan and stick to him dont let him roam free as he gets under everyones guard, even yours by the looks of it.
