Dean Bailey please tell colin sylvia to man up! while colling wood were holding up the ball every melbourne player manned someone up except sylvia. he just stood at CHF and pointed his fingers. he must get this out of his game so he can develop into a half foreward/midfield player that the dees can rely on. come on colin be a bit more dicipline and just man up and run!

The goal Sylvia missed in the second quarter was an absolute howler (he's not alone in that department!) It resulted in a 12 point turnaround and swang the momentum back to the pies. Just appalling.

Beamer gave him a hell of a spray for that one too. We'll miss his leadership on the ground for the next 4 to 6 weeks.

Sylvia playing loose man also created that turn over which Yze ____ed up.

Dees fans. After watching the telecast yesterday - I had to check out your forum to see if anyone was annoyed about Michael Voss' over the top spray about Colin Sylvia not manning up and 'letting the whole team down'.

It seemed to go on forever - whereas he'd just - as per the above - effected the turn over by being loose and reading the play well enough to spoil.

Voss really sh1ts me as a commentator. The most arrogant, aggressive pig of a commentator you'll ever see.
Cheers!

Sylvia caused a turn over, what he did was very smart at the end.
Voss was a tool and so is the OP.

Voss isn't alone, I think alot of Blight's comments are just stupid and almost over commentates, rambling about people being dragged after a goal. Doesn't talk like a dual premiership coach to me but however. Yeah I think it was poor by Sylvia despite the turn over he affected, I doubt the plan in that situation is to leave a man free to try chop something off like that. Still he's having a better season, hard to believe he was taken ahead of McLean.

Thankfully someone else spotted Sylvia doing bugger all in the last five minutes. They must practice that at training (or should!). Opposition tries to run the clock - must man up. Everyone! It was very disappointing and let the whole team down. Yze was poor in that area too. They have to be smarter than that.

is that michael voss starting up this thread? i couldn't believe the way voss went on, his criticism was way over the top, we had nothing to lose and sylvia had just created a chance moments before by not manning up.

I think you'll find that when Sylvia spoiled the ball previously, he was following his opponent into the space where the ball was kicked. He was smart enough to play off his opponent just enough to be able to chop off the kick and cause the turnover.

The way Voss & co went on about him not manning up was a bit over the top but in the end I believe they were right, he needed to find an opponent a lot quicker than that.
