Alistair Clarkson and the rest of the football world owe Hawthorns Mark Williams an apology. His choking signal against Port was right on the money.
Who's to deny it?

I notice last year's Qualifying Final was left off that list. Please remind me, Braun_2_B_Wild, what happened in that game?
And anyway, how come Crows supporter have a go at us for choking in finals when they came top 2 in '05 and '06, lost home finals both years, one where they had a big lead over West Coast, and didn't make one grand final?

Maybe if Franklin or Roughead did it noone would have cared.

But why were the West Coast ravaged by injury? Did Mark Ricciuto sharpen up his elbows the week before? Oh no that was 2005, the year you choked against St Kilda.

Hehehe. You're funny. Still trying desperately to hand off the choker tag? Give it up. With your pathetic efforts this season, the choker tag is Port Adelaide's to keep forever whether you like it or not.

Port choked. I'm not denying it. But the Crows are not immune from choking. I have plenty of examples. For instance
1999 16
Western Bulldogs 0-3 6-5 8- 8 14-15 99 M.C.G. 27747
Adelaide 4-4 9-7 14-12 14-13 97

Port was bigger...Bulldogs kicked 6 goals Carlton kicked 7. That was at the G. Port have choked twice in one season at home, both in terrible wet conditions in low scoring games..FFS your team let Carlton kick 7 goals when they had only kicked 3 for the whole game, in persistant rain.
Rucci invented the tag for the Power, we took it off them in 05-06, now it is back where it belongs.

Every team has choked at some stage or other. However, no team in the history of the AFL consistently humiliates themselves and makes themselves the complete laughing stock of the league to the extent that Port has/does/will. The fact that your club was celebrating your 'revolution' with hype and adulation, putting the players up on a pedestal before they achieved anything makes your embarrassments all the more laughable.

In 02/03 Port were branded as chokers by everyone after losing home finals and not making the grand final despite coming top 2. The Crows did the exact same thing in 05/06 and pretty much escaped criticism. Nathan Bock misses a relatively easy shot after the siren to win the game and totally escapes criticism. If Warren Tredrea did that we'd still be hearing about it. Whether Port are chokers or not, a lot more got made of Port vs. Brisbane and Port vs. Carlton than what would've happened if the Crows did the same thing.

It's pleasing how teams that nobody cares about or teams that never win anything are never in a decent position to choke and therefore never in danger of being a hot internet topic.
