Reports have it that Craig Turley, runner up in the Brownlow Medal in 1991 will be returning to play for West Perth at the ripe old age of 35 this year! Turley is currently the Assistant Coach and has been busy over the past 2 months training with the side and playing a handful of reserves games.

Will keep you up to date and see if he lines up in the Round 1 game next week http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/smile.gif

Good to hear.
I was always a huge rap for Turley. I know Hathorn had more than a few nibbles at him over the years.....not enough surf at Glenferrie for Turls though.

I dont pretend to know him but he strikes me as the sort of guy who would be great around a club with young guys.

Good luck Turls.

Turley is making a comeback.. suppose the losers at West Joondalup have to find players from somewhere. I hear that theyre raiding all the local retirement homes as we speak.

His comeback was confirmed today - he'll be pulling on the old Number 9 for one more season!

Blues_Brat - which WAFL side do you support?

With a comment like that Blues_Brat would have to barrack for the West Coast Royals!

Balip - Or how about the South Fremantle Dockers. It's not just the Eagles who are connected to a WAFL club!

GOEAGLES I am just as much against the Fremantle Bulldogs as I am against the West Coast Royals. I don't think it adds anything to the comp.

nice to see Peel have first up win, perhaps Claremont or the Swans should be the ones worrying about their futures.
