Can't believe that Travis Cloke hardly raised a whimper for his headbutt on the w/end.

Intentional if ever I've seen intentional.

Here are the rules for the Pies.

Don't show incidents involving Magpie players in Slow Mo.

Wouldn't mind seeing ALL angles of the incident 20 times in slow mo.

Why is it?

Anything Sydney is highlighted in slow mo & over done on the replay!

Travis Cloke headbutts a Melbourne defender, in a melee, draws blood that forces him to leave the field at an important moment in the game, yet hardly hardly raises a mention until after the decision is made by the MRP.
Mick Malthouse deflected it all by crying victim to how hard it is for the Pies to "keep coming up for blockbusters" which is tiring for his poor players.

I ask you all this serious question about what players or teams are "protected species".

HOW DIFFERENTLY WOULD THE TRAVIS CLOKE INCIDENT HAVE BEEN REPORTED BY THE VICTORIAN MEDIA IF IT WAS ADAM GOODES OR BARRY HALL THAT 'ACCIDENTALLY' HEADBUTTED A PLAYER IN THE SAME MANNER?

The Vic media should report without bias on ALL incidents!

Just look at Rocca every time he goes to the tribunal for SFA and you'll get your answer.

There was nothing in it.

The better question is, "does the AFL protect Sydney?" The answer.... is yes.

Of course there was something in it.
There was more in it then the Goodes incident.
Selwood was unhurt & receive a free for a goal.
The Melbourne tall defender went off the ground & the Dees had to restucture their backline, be it temporarily.
A dangerous contact by Cloke if ever I saw one.

But my question was why wasn't it highlighted by the Vic media to the extent it would have been if it was the Swans?

Because there was nothing in it. Regardless of what you say. Cloke had 4 players hanging off him. You could even argue that the Melbourne player moved HIS head forward (not that I'm saying he was at fault, it was just a scuffle). Whereas Goodes ran past, and made contact with the head nowhere near the ball. Typical Goodes.

Ohhh..........I see. It perhaps was the victims fault!

So some of you guys CAN see things from both sides when it suits?

Fair enough!

BTW - It doesn't help when your coach comes out and says he should've gone for it. That generally attracts media attention.

Ever since channel 9 got the rights Eddie had made them protect Collingwood. Never mind the ratings. Now all the rival networks who hate channel 9 and Eddie are following suit. Honestly, what an idiotic proposition.

As for the Cloke incident, hopefully he challenges and the points get whipped.

Let's hope (if we get that far) it doesn't come back to haunt him in September, I think it could have been successfully challenged, however appreciate there is a degree of risk involved.
