for the WCE, who will you be following and hoping to go on in the finals?

I grew up in Adelaide barracking for Port Adelaide as a boy till I moved here to WA in 1975. I kept a close eye on them, but followed Swan Districts (Black and white) in the WAFL due to me not able to see Port Games anymore.

When the WCE were formed, I watched from game one and kept my loyalty since. When the Power were formed, I have followed with interest, but still hope the Eagles kick their a$$es. ;)

Now it's basically over the the Eagles, I will be hoping Port go all the way now. Who will you be hoping to take the flag this year now we are not in the race anymore?

Brisbane?
Port?

Or a Victorian side such as Colliwobbles or Kangas?

I dont mind a non Vic team taking the flag, but I think Brisbane had their turn...it's now for the Power to switch on..

IMO Brisbane and Port are way ahead of any other side and should make the GF.

But they are being crapped on. Next week should have been a low key game for them as who comes first or second normally is irrelevant in the Finals. But this year the one that loses will be robbed of a home final. We all remember that feeling. So the game will be hard fought and may result in injuries that affect the prospects of one or both clubs. It sux. I don't mind which of them gets the flag as long as Victorian bias doesn't win the day.

I refuse to concede that it is over but if we eventually lose whether it be in the finals or next week against North then i think i will barrack for Brisbane. They are clearly superior to any other side in the comp and i like some of there players like Voss, Black, White, Michael etc...

Nothing personal, but I spent 9 years in Adelaide, and you wouldn't find a bigger bunch of Bogons than Port Adelaide supporters, with the possible exception of Fremantle supporters.

Interstate teams get it a lot easier now than the Eagles did in the early days (double home finals etc.), I'd rather see a Victorian team win it (even if it means Collingwood - :( ) than Brisbane or Port Adelaide be gifted it by Geography.

If the roos beat us next week, I'd probably go for them. You have to admire the gutsy effort they've put in this season, after the Carey debacle, and now, losing Anthony Stevens. Very mentally tough side.

Brisbane, although I think for sentimental favourites its Kangaroos first, daylight second.

Brisbane.

They deserve about 10 years of success (as long as its not at the Eagles' expense) to make up for what the VFL did to them in their early days (yes I know that was the Bears not the Lions, but still).

The Dockers on the other hand have done most of it to themselves:)
