I still think Pendles was rested last week with "soreness" and that MM is playing tricky buggers by having him listed on the i/c.

God, i hope he plays!!

anyone think fraser may miss? i remember durign the game against melbourne the commentators were commenting on how he didnt seem to be jumping in the ruck.

i wouldnt have noticed it myself tbh, just interesting to see wood named aswell, as i think bryan had another good game against the dees.

id love to see pendles play , lot of good young talent between both teams running around

murphy gibbs thomas pendlebury wellingham

exciting stuff

Could be right, he looked very sore towards the end of the game.

Not a bad call there. Would love to see Bear smash up his old mob. :thumbsu:

Does Cameron Woods perforamce in the VFL warrant a return to the seniors? From what I've heard hes been pretty average. If both Fraser and Bryan are fit then it would be unfare to drop either to make way for Wood. Gota earn your spot I reckon.

I reckon Wood and Cox will be named on the emegency with one of Reid or Cook.

I really want to see Reid play, but you can't drop Cook- he didn't play bad last week. But who knows.

Fraser hasn't looked right since he came back in, especially around the ruck-contests. I wouldn't mind seeing Wood/Bryan this week either, as we'll need Fraser against the Dogs.

Maybe just play Fraser up forward the whole match and let Wood and Bryan rotate in the ruck?

I agree with that 100%

Fraser would make a Good Big Foward with out Pebs

Not a bad idea at all. Would be interesting to trial something like that.

I honestly rekkon if we're gonna play any of them up forward it should be Bryan, he's the best contested marker and also the best kick of the 3. He's also the worst tap ruckman of the 3. Really like Bryan as a player but he doesn't ruck overly well, good to finaly see a Collingwood ruckman with a bit of mongeral tho - first time since the big monkey was running around.

I rekkon:
Medhurst Bryan Reid
Dids Cloke Igniter

Reid the leader, Bryan the stay at home and the rest speak for themselves. Anyone else rekkon this could work??
Also means that if Reid performs, when Rocca comes back in we can push Bryan back to play third man up/quarter back role. He's just as agressive (although he can actually be intimidating unlike Max) but he's taller, a better mark and a MUCH better kick/reader of the game than Maxwell. We also wouldn't be losing much in terms of body on body defensive ability because Max isn't really a good one on one defender either (Bryan will learn). He did play back a lot at the Blues..Thoughts??

Will only work if Fraser's in tho, so hope Pendles is right, the kid's a freak!

Answer to your Question. O`Bree

Are you saying Maxwell is a hack, or O'Bree's a hack?
O'Bree's underrated by the football public and media and I woulda thought that the people who watched him every week would recognise that he's actually one of the most important players in the side - Very good player is Mr O'Bree..
Seriously hope you mean Max..

True I dont like him up forward but you need to come to terms with the fact he aint going anywhere. MM says his name whenever he talks about the leaders of the pies. I like what he brings to the team but can see why you may not like his hard work . Maxwell is here to stay... im sorry Big Bucks not much you can do about it mate.. MM loves this kids ticker to much..

Final side;

IN: Pendlebury, Reid
OUT: Cook, Cox

Very happy with that side. :thumbsu: This could be the making of Benny Reid. Worried that Pendles has been named to the bench...

Fisher played well against us last time IMO. If he was Maxwell's man, he certainly didn't get a bath.

By no stretch of the imagination am I a Maxwell fan, but you're right, he was good against Melbourne. In fact, if it weren't for him and O'Brien, things might have got ugly.

Maxwell was indeed on Fisher, and Fisher destroyed him.

Me either, I have my favourites but will always call a spade a spade, Maxwell has been good lately. :thumbsu:

I am vey happy that Pendles is back in the team. And exited about Reid's inclusion. I really hope e takes this opportunity with both hands and shows us all the talent he has got.

For pick 8 in the superdraft, this guy has to be good doesn't he?

He is very young and very skinny but also has smarts and height, just as likely to get flogged as he is to kick a few. On the balance I think he was put in the side to stretch the Blues structure, he would not have been considered if Rus and/or Rocca were fit so again a good sign of our depth when we can bring in a quality tall forward and argue the merits of it. Will be a key player in future but would have been happy to see him play out the year in the 2's.
